It's my favorite, not to mention was on AMC. No HBO or etc..great writing, great acting, presentation, editing, music extremely solid show.

Matter of opinion. For me, BB is easily #1 though I've not seen The Wire.
Its place on the Mount Rushmore of drama series can't be argued though.

The final season of The Wire drops it below BB (my favorite). The originality of BB also trumps Wire (the HBO version of Simon's earlier work, Homicide). The Wire is my second favorite drama, so I am not dissing it.
