Board rewatch of The Wire starts Monday morning

Just FYI. I'll start the thread Monday morning.
Just a heads up for those who are interested to line up the DVDs or HBOgo passwords.
ETA: 2 episodes per week. Discussion begins on Monday mornings along with that week's assignment. Week off between seasons most likely.

I tried episode 1 the other day having never watched before. I don't know why but I just couldn't get into it. I might consider a Rewatch, but it'd include spoilers I'm sure, right?

I tried watching it once but lost interest after a couple of episodes. May give it another try since the discussions may make it more interesting.

I've watched and enjoyed the first season twice. I always start falling asleep during season 2 each time.

I want to participate, but I still need to watch Seasons 4 and 5. I can catch up. Do you expect most of the conversation to be in the context of the whole series, or mostly an overanalysis of each episode?
