Searched and didn't see a season thread. This show, which I liked last year, but some I think didn't, has really upped its game this year. Tonight's episode was fricken brilliant.

So did Chuck really lose the money? I know he's not really about the money .

Chuck lost the money and thinks he is going to finally get Axelrod, but then he'll find out his wife has a huge stake in the deal he'll be prosecuting

Poor Ira has to go back to the law firm and tell them he's not quitting.

Man, they played this brilliantly. The whole episode you think Chuck is getting fricked, but he's pulling the strings the whole time. I never saw it coming, and I usually can sniff that stuff out a mile away. But he may have fricked his wife in the process. One of the better single episodes of any series that I've seen.

I did notice the couple with their phone taking the pic in the background. Thought might be used for evidence but didn't see anything else coming. Great show.

Really? I thought it was pretty obvious. They foreshadowed the shite out of it.

The money is only lost if Ice Juice goes under for good. The stock could bounce back if the news of the illnesses was faked gets out. Jack in the Box actually killed 4 kids in the 90's and they are still doing just fine.

Definitely best Billions episode ever. I am having a really hard time finding another episode in television history that was better than that episode. Amazing. Perfect 10

Holy shite! I just watched it. That was some amazing television. The financial aspects are laughable but the drama and the writing are over-the-top amazing.

Wendy screwed Chuck by making that investment. Now if he prosecutes Axe he will also implicate Wendy in the insider trading scandal which will eventually just come back on him.

The only real forshadowing I saw was the jiujitsu scene where Chuck's teacher said something to the effect of Chuck having learned to give his opponent an opportunity so that he could finish him, or something like that.

Now in context, the scene with Wendy in his office takes on a totally new meaning. We were all Wendy in that scene, having no confidence in Chuck and that's exactly what pissed Chuck off. That she (and we) looked at him like a sad puppy woefully overmatched against big bad Axe in his arena. Fortunately, we all got off easy with Chuck laughing in our faces. Wendy's consequences will be much worse.

Spectacular episode.

Spoilers

The way the scenario played out with Chuck setting up Axe was completely implausible.

It started when he had no interest in setting Ira up with his dad for Icejuice IPo, then he gives the speech to the ada chick and says something along he lines of there is no way to predict when Axe will strike, then trails off. Next thing he is setting up Ira and his dad. When asked about putting his trust money up he says he will sign and in a telling way says of course for you and Ira. Shortly later Axe gets a call from the guy in jail.

Now I will admit, I thought Chuck knew that guy would get word of he IPO through his firm and leak to ace as opposed to him being in the plan, but it was quite obvious Chuck was setting Axe up. The judo thing was the last smack you in the face foreshadowing along with him refusing to get out of the IPO.

Anything is plausible in the land of make believe. That's what makes it fun. Lighten up Francis.
