President: You just said the bomb... is in the puck?
Michael and Samuel together: Yes.
President: Is that where you hid the bomb Goldenface?
Goldenface: [walks into the Oval Office with an accomplice, Troy]
Samuel: But why would you blow up the stadium? You OWN the stadium!
Michael: For the insurance money! I knew it all along!

He knew. His father even says it when he confronts him. He was just conflicted and didn't like the politics. Of course, this has absolutely nothing to do with how it all went down in real life.

Anakin Skywalker is the only answer.
No, he's not. He was tricked into going to the dark side, so much that most of it was not his own doing. Therefore the betrayal factor here is pretty low.

he's an evil a-hole from the start. So from the audience's perspective it's not a huge betrayal. Of course the guy who slaughters women and children and constantly complains about the Jedi, a group by whom he's constantly marginalized, will turn on them. Plus they suspected "grave danger" from the outset. Yoda is counseling the guy and he looks deranged and clearly harbors major resentment against the Jedi. All the characters are so stupid they don't see it coming, but logically they should've seen it a mile away.
So all in all, it's not a big betrayal IMO.

Another one is Resevoir Dogs. Roth's character shouldn't have of said anything. One of the few times its best not to tell the truth.

Hill had already been turned on by his "friends." His "friends" were trying to kill him.

When Pachanga set up Carlito Brigante by letting Benny Blanco know where he was going to meet Gail.
Pachanga got his anyway but he and Carlito were tight.

What about when he chucked the emperor?

Lando - Empire Strikes Back
That's not that big a deal. It wasn't even really betrayal.
So they were casual friends?
The Empire had just landed its might in Lando's backyard and on his house...what was he supposed to do? Do some sign language to Han because they once pinkie-swore at summer camp? It's not like they were family and Lando went out of his way to betray.
It was betray or be killed.

Ulysses Everett McGill: Pete's cousin turned us in for the bounty.
Pete: The hell you say! Wash is kin!
Washington Hogwallop: Sorry, Pete, I know we're kin, but they got this depression on. I got to do for me and mine.
Pete: I'm gonna kill you, Judas Iscariot Hogwallop!

Of course the biggest betrayal was Everett getting them to escape under false pretenses in the fist place.

Tony Montana shooting Manny always pissed me off. Of course, he was porking his kid sister, but he was a great guy and friend to Tony.
