Probably why Confederacy of Dunces hasn't. A great read but may be too mundane of a plot to transfer well to the screen.

Maybe you're right. I would still like to see both of them. I need to re-read The Moviegoer, though. It's been awhile.

Though like some others, not exclusively Louisiana, the New Orleans part of Double Jeopardy was pretty good.

No Mercy had a lot of scenes filmed in south Louisiana, and was a good flick too not mentioned.
