As much as I think the editing bothered me, I found the soundtrack to be much more disruptive to the film. I think this is one of Hans Zimmer's mis-steps.

I will say that is the best trailer ever put out for that movie.

Affleck and Irons both look great and I can't wait to see Affleck's stand amine films.

Superman in the movies and everyone in his universe from his mom and dad to Lois to the planet suck, but they're kind of watchable.

Jesse Eisenberg kills the entire movie. Horrible casting, writing, and just all around terrible job with Lex. It makes the movie unwatchable. I laughed out loud multiple times the first time I saw it.

But I'll give the directors cut a shot. Why not.

1. That trailer was better than the movie.

2. I already saw a couple of things in the trailer (even if only for a split second) that I think will better explain things and help a little.

That is all.

"The Red Capes are Coming. The Red Capes are Coming".

I was hoping that Lex and Bruce shared the same dream, and they sought out one another, and that could have actually been a good scene if it was made that way. But no, he's just talking to a Senator we know nothing about and have no reason to care. It's one of the worst lines in movie history.

It would have been better and more interesting for Bruce and Lex to have been at least nominal allies in the beginning.

Any extended version would have to do a hell of a better job explaining everybody's motivations because only Bruce Wayne's made any real sense.

Hell, the Senator was the dumbest of them all. "Oh, you have a proposal for a weapon to stop a future Kryptonian attack cold in its tracks? Nah, I'll pass because Granny's sweet peach tea or some shite"

Ultimate Edition

Hopefully this one has some establishing shots.

After I started thinking that Eisenberg played Lex Luthor as a "Martin Shkreli" type vs. a "Mark Zuckerburg" type, i only hated him half as much.

This movie had plenty of problems, but I liked it as much as I liked The Force Awakens. I dug both.

To be fair, portraying a U.S. senator as the dumbest character in the movie is not really that much of stretch.

I still don't get why it's getting an R rating.

It's possible a lot more things will be explained and fleshed out in the extra 30 minutes of footage but that's exactly one reason why BvS sucks as if it can't make a good movie in the time allotted for the theatrical release, it will never be a good movie at all.

The great movies are great because they had directors and staff that met that challenge and didn't need a gimmick like extra footage in the DVD release.

Correct, in so far as anyone who disliked the theatrical cut. Paying any more for it only emboldens this line for this universe, and frick that.

I'll read about it and I'll eventually be happy to catch it on cable next spring or whenever they drop it there, as I'm anxious to see if, like Watchmen, Snyder needs a 4 hour movie to tell a damn story...but I'm not paying for the privilege of seeing this thing twice.

I honestly had no problem with Eisenberg. I particularly liked the rooftop scene with superman. The editing of the film is whats atrocious.

I somewhat agree. While his Lex wasn't the most horrible performance ever, I think Eisenberg would have made for a better Riddler.

I'm still dumbfounded why they went with Superman first... I mean, I guess he's still popular? but he's my least favorite comic character in the DC universe, by a frickton

Give me WW, Aquaman, Flash, or Batman any day of the week over god-complex, holier than thou, asshat; any day.

They went with Green Lantern first. Man of Steel performed better so they used that as their starting point instead.
