Nah, they gave that away in the trailer too. Luthor says something like "if man won't kill God, the devil will" and releases zod/doomsday.

So it looks like they stop fighting and start making out or some shite and the Luthor decides to destroy the world.

Wow I'm really starting to talk myself out of being excited about this movie.

The movie itself looks pretty great. Snyder seems to have finally mixed more color into his palate.
-Affleck seems great as Batman. Pretty disappointed to see him holding a gun at the end though. reeeeeally lame. i know he used a very hyped up one against Darkseid, but that looks like a standard automatic. just a lame image of Batman to have.

-The wonder woman moment was cool to me. especially since neither knew about her. dont forget we may see aquaman at some point as well.

-eisenberg is horrible as lex from what we have seen so far, but he could evolve further in the movie.

-the hate for MoS Superman is pretty ridiculous. does anyone remember john byrne's reboot of Superman from the 90s? he was very close to snyder's portrayal. he even kills someone and realizes he has gone too far. this Clark has not been Superman for decades, like the one a lot of you keep referencing. this is baby Superman learning to be papa Superman. deal with it. its actually part of the source material as well.

-the doomsday cgi is little worrisome, but that shite is worked on until like a week before the release. they have months so it could get much better and he could evolve like most have said.

i dont have the highest expectations for this movie, but it does look entertaining as hell and wont be the exact same formulaic movies marvel has put out for the past 7 years.

I just rewatched the trailer and I really hope Lex so far is massive misdirection. Because he needs development. The trailer says nothing about his character or Batman's for that matter. I'm hoping they showed alot less than we think they did

they showed a lot more Superman which makes snyder's comments about this essentially being MoS2 more credible. trailers are funny things. people bitch about too much then criticize over too little. how do you win?

You make a movie so good that people forget about the trailer. That's it.

You also make a trailer that doesn't give away too much but keeps people interested. Which you don't know until the movie comes out. out

This trailer actually gave me hope for this movie. I liked it's tone and some of the lighthearted moments.

I was not a fan of Eisenberg's Luthor. At all.

Doomsday looks like one of the Michael Bay Ninja Turtles encased in Carbonite.

Doomsday showing up out of nowhere would have beeen huge for this movie.

This, they should have kept playing up the Batman vs Superman stuff until the release date, now we know why they team up and the major climatic point has been spoiled.

I hate trailers like that. Meanwhile Star Wars opens in a few weeks and no one knows what the bad guy even looks like or what is going on in the movie.

Wrong thread bro, you're looking for the Al Gore movie.

That trailer should have come with a spoilers warning.

Is this supposed to be a "woman saves the day" superhero movie?

Batman and Superman in the middle of a huge fight stop and band together to take out a Lord of the Rings troll?

I had goosebumps throughout the trailer until Wonder Woman showed up and the three of them stood together as a team. frick that was lame.

Snyder is very reactionary. When he came under fire for 300 being a homoerotic film he came back with Suckerpunch. He puts out a trailer packed with action scenes and only clues as to what BvS would be about and people dissect it with statements like, "Superman's a total dick in this one... Looks humorless...". So he puts out a trailer that gives a few details and answers a lot of questions and the response is, "Why did he show so much?"

He can't win on this one.

The trailer looks amazing.

You could promote Star Wars with scenes of George Lucas taking a loud dump as he reads aloud the script from Jersey Girl and people would still line up to see the movie.

yeah Star Wars has pretty much nothing to prove (from a financial standpoint). WB/DC has gotten a lot of heat lately and probably feels like it needs to show fans they are trying.

I agree, but he could have put in humor and some things that show Superman as a good guy without showing Doomsday. Hell, he could have shown the three superheroes standing together with a loud growl in the background. He didn't have to show a closeup like that, IMO.

I think that Doomsday is overrated anyway. I would think that he would just be Luthor's weapon of choice and not the main focus of the film. A Doomsday movie focused on him tracking and then beating Superman to death would be boring as hell.
