Yeah art is art. People that hate on it for not being digital or a perfect disney drop can GTFO. It is paying homage to the comic that released the story. I like the fact that Batman can have so many different animation styles.

Not a fan of the comic. It's one of Moore's lesser works that never should've been brought into the Batman canon.

Watched the beginning of the trailer. A shame to have those voices associated with this crap.

Animation looks fine to me.

Reminds me of the 90's Animated Series that I grew up on. Not sure why there's so much hate on it.

I'm a novice on this but I think that's the point with the animation. Has an old school 80s feel which I love.

Is this straight to dvd?

man, what do you enjoy. the more of your posts I read, I realize what an odd comic fan you are. Is Judd Winnick your favorite writer?

As for what areas they are expanding on, Bruce Timm confirmed the beginning will show more Batgirl and allow the audience to connect with her more before what happens to her.

Good idea.

I don't remember her being raped in the GN.
Bruce would've killed him. Dead.

Honestly there are parts of the animation that look choppy, which is objectively bad. But that trailer looks much better than the fake one did. My God.

Gen Xers and older milenials seem to love it, the younger ones seem to hate it because it's not the Batman Beyond looking animation.

There was no rape, I don't think, he just showed Gordon naked Pics of his daughter all beat up, shot and bloody.

None of Winnick's stories have stuck with me. He's a pretty boring writer.

I'm a huge fan of Moore and I think that Bolland is one of the best ever (though you can't see any of his influence on this movie). But KJ was supposed to be a one-off Elseworlds type of story, not the end of Batgirl. Like DKR, DC decided to let these stories that were supposed to be the extreme taint their regular stories (making the extreme anything but).

The torture of Jim Gordon should've been an "Oh my God that's horrifying" moment. Not a "frick YEAH!" cartoon.

Just not a fan of this story. Moore did so much better with Superman than he did with Batman.

I haven't read it in quite a few years, but I remember the rape being implied

i think it is. the "frick yeah" comes from it being a fan favorite comic, not because fans love seeing Gordon be tortured. its like the watchmen GN. its one of the best ever, not because rorschach beats the shite out of people, or millions die, its because the material is so strong.

DC and Marvel both incorporate fan favorite else-world style stories into regular continuity. if it creates better stories because of it, why not? Morrison did that with Damian Wayne and some of the best Batman arcs came out of it. His Batman and Robin with Dick and Damian was brilliant.

it's accepted by a lot of the community that there was indeed a rape. lots of people on each side of the fence though. i believe there was. little thing on the wiki says that it was intended to be a rape

you see the joker physically unbuttoning her blouse. then the pictures show her gritting her teeth, writhing around and avoiding something, naked. cant exactly imply it any more than that.
