Warner Bros. and DC Animation have given the creators of the new animated feature the go ahead to make The Killing Joke as mature as it should be.

That one has some serious potential.

I think there's been too many Batman animated movies lately with two more on the way but with this one being possibly R rated, I'll allow it.

Looking forward to this one. I've always thought there's more potential for storytelling and intensity if properties like superheroes, Star Wars, Star Trek and whatnot were a little more adult and more mature to the point where R ratings are needed.

I'm glad... it wouldn't be "The Killing Joke" without an R rating.

Hell yea. This is the one movie Hamill is most excited for. He is coming back to do the Joker for this movie.

Sorry Scruff, didn't read this far before I prematurely posted my excitement. I've never been too into the animated comic stuff but this one I will definitely check out.

Too many Batman animated movies?

But yeah, I can't wait for this one to come out. I think comic fans have been waiting for this one for a long time, especially if they go the rated R route with it.

Awesome news.

I just think the sentiment is they do this at the detriment of other, also extremely interesting, characters. Superman for one (we're missing some great Superman stories as animated movies). Heck has Wonder Woman gotten her own animated film? She has some pretty cool arcs that could benefit.

I'm biased and want more Nightwing (and Grayson honestly, those stories have been super fun).

She's gotten one, and I thought it was pretty damn good. If the live action version is anywhere close to it, it will be a success.

I'd rather a "NR". Or an "X".

I'm not a fan of the comic, but if Hamill is in then I'm there.

They go with what sells. I understand that.

Still, my favorite of the DVDs was the set of shorts that included Green Arrow and Spectre. I wish they'd do more of those. Hell, lead off with a Batman short and put him on the cover.

I thought that the best part of the Wonder Woman movie was the end segment where she was in action as an actual superhero. Not a fan of the mythology stories that go on forever.

Where can I watch some of these animated flicks? Any particular order or must watch titles?
