I'm gonna guess Blood doesn't make it, but a corrupt mayor does add an interesting dynamic for the future.
I have a hard time seeing another good person dying this season, but I would assume the odds may be the highest for Sara. I'm just praying that they cure Slade and sticks around but a little less crazy.

Also.. if Malcolm ends up being the one that saves the city... I wonder if it'll ever be convincing that Oliver is anything other than a nuesence to people after this point, he seems to be pretty useless unless it's him vs. someone with no training in anything what-so-ever

I doubt Malcolm saves the city. I'm guessing he'll save Thea, and convince her that the city is lost and that she needs to leave the city with him.

we are usually pretty close on our theories. im hoping for this one as well.
do you think its at all a possibility that Laurel becomes speedy instead of black canary? im guess its like a 5% chance but they show her in this episode shooting a bow and being a "natural" (it was a preview, not a spoiler).
i just think sara fits the BC mantel so well. really hoping she leaves with the league though as her exposure has been way too much this season.
my hopes for the finale:
1)thea leaves with malcolm and gets trained
2)sara goes with the league, who take over the city after beating Slade
3)slade survives to fight another day but goes away
4) Oliver is in total desolation
5) Laurel doesnt immediately join team arrow.

I still think Sara fits the mantle of Onyx, and the Black Canary could be anyone at this point.. (but Laurel has the name)
Sara also really really fits the back story of the Black Canary more than Laurel, but it's been hinted at as well, so yeah.

I'd be pretty shocked if Laurel doesn't become the permament BC by the end of the series, but I guess it's possible that she takes on a temporary "Speedy" type roll for a season or two, but it's probably unlikely. 5% chance is probably the right percentage.
I think your hopes 1 & 4 are about as close to 100% as you can get.
I think 2 & 3 are 50%. I think the only other scenario for Sara is she gets killed. If she does get killed, look for Nyssa to blame Oliver and he'll have to deal with the League.

i think people think Sara has to die. she doesn't. she can just go back with the LoA and give up BC and have Laurel take it over.

the issue many have with this is that it may come off as cheap. how would she be at all qualified to hang with oliver and co.? because she took some self defense classes?
the show does such a great job with staying logical, like they did with roy. hopefully theres progression with her as BC as well.

that's my biggest gripe. i don't think it should happen but the producers have all but told us it will happen so....

I'm starting to lean towards Sara going back with the LoA for the upcoming season, but I think eventually something will have to "drive" Laurel to take up the BC mantel. Plus, I don't know if they can just leave Sara with the LoA indefinitely. In the end, the LoA is an "evil" organization, and I don't see how they can leave Sara there. Team Arrow will eventually have to try and "save" her from the LoA. It'll definitely be interesting to see what direction they have decided to take with that.
ETA: All the showrunners have hinted at is that she will probably take over the BC mantel. They never hinted as to when. It could be several seasons down the road. I could definitely see her start training with Oliver over the next season or two before she takes it up. Heck, it could be the very last episode where she takes it up for all we know.

yeah i never saw it as an indefinite thing. just something to put her on the shelf for awhile. itd eventually be dealt with but gives you time to explore other things.

How did Oliver become qualified? He trained. Do you actually think she'll take over the Black Canary role right away if Sara dies or quits?
