Sorry. Andrew Luck squashed the hijack

I'm pretty sure Slade is not going to be killed this season.
If they want to truly go the DC Comics route, he'll get sent to Stryker's Island.

Bama can probably confirm but, in one of those interviews, didn't one of the creators imply that they definitely weren't killing him?

I can't fully remember is they said he'd definitely survive. I know they said that his and Oliver's story would conclude in the season finale. It seems like they did say they weren't going to kill him off, but I can recall 100%.
ETA: We can probably search earlier posts in this thread and find it if they did say that he would survive.

Maybe Slade is cured and regains his sanity.

Hopefully that's what they'll do, and have Waller take him into custody or something. He is too good of a character to kill off after two seasons, but you never know.

can I just jump in here to say something very, very short?

also yeah, I think they will end up going with the cure route, and they are just going to "finish the story" between slade and oliver
(I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up on the new flash show some as well)

Word is that they are suppose to be on one of the last 3 episodes.

If the league gets in, they HAVE to double cross Oliver and take the city for themselves at the end. If not, it's just going to seem goofy for them to be in this fight.
It'll also add to the turmoil ofOliver for season 3. He will be an outsider to his own city

As long as Sara and Nyssa make out again I'm cool with this.

Here's a link to the season finale episode description: LINK

If the price for their help is Sara has to go back with Nyssa, I could see that has being reason enough for her to help. She is obviously obsessed with Sara.
But even if that is the only price for Nyssa's help, Sara's departure will probably further isolate Oliver for Season 3. I'm sure Thea isn't forgiving him anytime soon, and Diggle & Felicity will actually have to get real jobs now that Oliver doesn't have any money. And there would still be the ensuing debt that I'm sure the League would consider Oliver owes them as well.

this keeps getting brought up. this doesnt really stop them from helping him though

The showrunners have already said that this will play into next season's story line.
Think of it like this, they will now have other responsibilities. If Diggle goes off with his wife and joins Argus, or even if he has to take on some high profile security position, it's not like he'll have much time to moonlight with Oliver. And how long can Felicity work a full time job during the day, and go off moonlighting with Oliver at night? Or better yet, what if she gets a job that temporarily takes her out of Starling City?
I just think that next season will start out with Oliver isolated and basically on his own.
