I could see Flash helping in the final episode and to set up his own show.

I think they've already said that he won't wake up from his coma until the pilot of his show.

But it would be cool if they would've decided to have him show up for the season ending battle.

this.

but honestly, would the flash really fit the theme this show has set up for the finally? hes such a more upbeat and "bright" (no pun intended) character.

im digging the despair they are putting Ollie through. I think the flash could easily take all of that away. I'm really thinking this season ends on a low note for Oliver and sets up a lot of obstacles for him to overcome in season 3

eta: after just typing "season 3" i cant believe this show only has 2 seasons. does it feel like its been on forever to anyone else?

I agree completely. At this point, its pretty obvious that Ollie already has and will continue to experience great loss before he defeats Slade.

You don't come out of an experience like that with a cheery attitude and positive outlook on life.

You can't have the debut of the tv Flash in that kind of atmosphere.

It probably feels like its been on longer since its a network show with 23 episode seasons (w/very few pure filler episodes) in an era where so many of us are used to watching cable and premium cable shows that only get 10-16 episode seasons. It also helps that the tone has changed dramatically over the course of the series. All soap opera love triangle stuff and diary like narrations by Oliver this show used to be about are a distant memory.

Before we watched this episode I had just got done telling my GF about how Isabel Rochev is a crazy arse that wears Ollie's dead mom's wedding ring in the comics.

Then Moira all the sudden bonds with Ollie telling him she knows and my GF got all pissed and was like "Did you see a spoiler or something? Why the hell is she being nice and understanding like this? This is how she died in the comics isn't it?"

Then when it actually went down I was the shocked one while she was expecting it b/c I thought the odds of me mentioning Moira is dead in the comics and it actually happening that very day were so ridiculously low that there was no way it would happen.

Unless something changed with the recent reboot at DC, his parents died or at least appeared to have died in the shipwreck that stranded him on the island and he didn't have a sister.

It surprised me but the more shocking moment was when she told him she knew. Then I realized something "final" was going down with her soon. Not as soon as the end of the episode though.

Considering season 1 ended with Tommy dying and the Glades getting leveled, we know that they aren't scared to have the hero fail to an extent.

I could definitely see it end with him broke, Thea (his only living immediate relative) hating him, Sarah either gone or dead, and Diggle & Falicity having to find other jobs since he can't afford to keep them employed. So it ending with his life in shambles wouldn't surpise me a bit.

Well, they did put multi-week breaks all throughout this season.

Here is a link to a preview for next week: Preview
Notice who Diggle is asking to help find Oliver.

Here is a link to the promotional photos for next week episode also (I'm going to go ahead and drop a spoilers warning in here): Promotional photos

Looking back at it, she'd have to be pretty stupid not to figure out he was the Arrow after the season 1 finale.

let's not open that can of worms

we really don't need to get into how stupid people are for not knowing Ollie is the arrow. everyone ever to come in contact with him would be on that list

Dude. I was just starting to troll those recruiting board fools that are picking on CP3 and then someone whacked the Help Board thread.

Your cousin trying to go to banland again or what?

That's what I figured.

I guess the admin figured out where I was going with my post because it was shutdown quickly after. Sucks. I was ready to work the long con and get them really riled up.

Tell your boy to stay strong. Boston Strong.

I don't why I said that... It's just been stuck in my head since last week.

I replied to someones bitchass passive aggressive comment that CP's either a kid or has a mental disorder and said

"So you guys are bullying either a child or someone with a mental disorder or maybe even a child with a mental disorder?

Honest question"

I like to throw in the honest question part because that always makes them think I'm serious.

I was wondering why he started such a whiny thread at first but I had faith that there was something more to it.

Yes indeed. Its not fun childish either like the Reader/HODOR War that has been going on.

You're doing some good work in those btw my friend. Keep stoking those fires on both sides. You've positioned yourself in the perfect shite-stirrer role in all of that. It's great.
