So we all assume he does the thing he did earlier where he goes so fast he reverses time?

This was a great episode. Too bad there are so many emotionally repressed or immature people posting on this, who aren't able to handle real emotional responses - at least a comic book tv rendition of same.

I think people started hating Laurel when they turned her into an alcoholic in season 2 then had her beating up the league of assassins after only a couple weeks worth of kickboxing lessons.
She also trained, off-screen, with Talia Al Ghul. I don't know why people keep forgetting this.

Oh no, this was a great episode imo probably the best of the season. The flashbacks coincided with the current storyline perfectly. Speaking for myself here, I just feel so the wrong person was axed. I have a feeling they are going to finish strong with this season.

Talia was on the show?

I also felt this episode was really good until the end. The show could be so much better if they just let Felicity go (especially now that Curtis has been promoted to series regular) or at least stop focusing so much on their relationship. This episode barely mentioned relationship stuff till the end and look how much better it was. But sadly the writers are probably going to force the Olicity stuff heading into next season.

No, but she was on Legends of Tomorrow.

She trained with Nissa not Talia.

Sorry.
I meant Nissa Al Ghul. Not Talia. My bad.

Technically, her name is Nyssa Raatko.

So what's the deal? Is she dead? Or is this just some fake out to make sure Laurel and her dad are safe from Damian?
Also, when they showed the clock, the second hand wasn't moving. Wasn't sure if that meant anything or not.

The showrunners are saying that she'd definitely dead, and not coming back except in an alternate earth (I think she's making an appearance on earth 2 on an upcoming Flash episode). But showrunners say stuff like that all of the time nowadays (just look at D&D with Jon Snow on Game of Thrones.) But it sure was weird that Oliver sits on the edge of her bed for her to tell him something, then the camera switches to the other outside her room, and then all of a sudden she is coding.
I'll be pissed if they actually killed her off, just as they were redeeming her character. The Laurel that we saw this season, the one that is confidant and sure of herself, is the girl that should end up with Oliver, not Felicity who can't make up her mind as to what she wants to eat, much less what she wants in life. Hell, if she stays dead, I won't start watching next season until I can be convinced that they remembered what they were doing in the 1st 2 seasons.

i realize Canary and Green Arrow were super weak links in justice league, but for christs sake, could they beat some one up?
It gets old watching Barry get beat up by lame villains, then watching GA and his gang get whipped by normal humans and a dilrod with a voodoo doll.

I love this thread. Everyone has been bitching for years about how bad Laurel is and now they kill her off and everyone is upset.

You would rather them just beat everyone up easily, never lose a fight, and all go home happy at the end of each episode? I would rather have them struggle through fight scenes instead of having more time to focus on the Olicity crap.

At least the Arrow fights have never been this bad.

I'm a hypocrite and I admitted earlier I was foolish for wishing her dead. In my defense, she really was bad though. But she really has been good this season. It's finally believable that she can hold her own in combat and her lawyer role was interesting this season, and they go and take her away when they should have killed Felicity.

You've never heard me say they needed to kill her off. As a matter of a fact, I've always not only said that they can't kill of Laurel, but that Oliver has to be destined to end up with her...because she is freaking Black Canary.
Yeah, what they did to her character in season 2 was criminal, but this year she is the only character that has had even the slightest trend upward on the likability scale. Felicity has done a complete nose dive, and this season Diggle has been a whiny arse bitch from the get go. And Oliver's character has been in a nose dive since last season. I guess Thea hasn't been trending downwards, but she isn't trending upwards either.
I've been saying that Olicity was a mistake for going on two years now, and that they needed to end that crap pronto. and if Oliver is to end up with anyone, it had to be Laurel. And not to mention that killing off the Black Canary before she even has become a recognized hero is just asking to piss off comic fans.
