I never really got the hate for her in season 2 to be honest. She was partially responsible for the death of Tommy Merlyn at the end of season one but blamed the Arrow for everything as a coping mechanism. When the guilt finally hit her she turned to alcohol and drugs to cope. Katie Cassidy actually lost weight and muscle for those scenes - hence why she appeared so gaunt throughout season two.

And I never really got the hatred for her reaction to Sarah being alive and the fact that she was still sleeping with Oliver. She had every right to be pissed at both of them.

But the arc her character took from season two into this season was nothing short of awesome. Her character experienced the most growth and she became likable to many of her detractors in the process.

What pisses me off about the whole death is the fact that she had only begun fully embodying the Black Canary at the beginning of this season. And they killed her off before the end of the season. So dumb. Such a waste. And only to satisfy the tweens who want to see Olicity go unchallenged.

While this show has been airing on the CW since its inception, you never really got the sense that this was a CW show in the early days of the series. Now...in the latter half of season four, it has completely morphed into your typical CW show.

That said. I am done with the show for the time being. Maybe if they bring back Laurel Lance I will return but I can't see that happening anytime soon.

I will watch The Flash in the meantime and pray it doesn't meet the same fate as Arrow.

Even with actual songs as part of the show's soundtrack and Oliver dating a different girl every episode?

I knew that wasn't Felicity in the grave. When Flash showed up with no remorse, that was 100% proof. He is tight with felicity.

Also, i guess they bring back the sister? Canary part deaux? She's still under the spell from being reincarnated, correct? So she would be able to get around the voodoo doll and it's boring powers.

I think they're substituting Black Canary for Black Siren

I admit, I've been watching Arrow as well...
Season 2 had me hooked. Since then it's been going downhill until now, at which point it has completed its transformation into a steaming pile of crap.

As others have mentioned, (a) the power levels are inconsistent and (b) the writers can't write romance to any level at all -- hence viewers hate Laurel in season 1/2 and Felicity afterwards.

The folks in charge of the DC universe need to get their act together ASAP.

LINK This guy made me lol so god damn hard.

He loses me a bit at the end when he's talking about Laurel deserving an Emmy but he's mostly spot on.

That dude is on full rant, that's for sure.

I kind of feel his pain with Laurel's character getting the crap end of the stick just so the writers could appease the Olicity worshipers. But he was smoking crack if he thinks Cassidy deserves an Emmy.

And he has a huge point in the way they had her make it out of surgery, only to have her code off screen as the camera had panned to freaking Felicity's arrival. The only reason that makes any sense as to why they would do that is if Oliver and her had a plan to make it look like she died, but she really is alive. If that isn't the case, then it is indeed crap arse writing (hell, it's crap arse writing even if it is the case.)

I like how Guggenhiem admitted they were struggling this season with the flashbacks. As if that was the only thing wrong with this season.

Overall better episode tonight. No flashbacks from the island, flashbacks of good Laurel and little fighting which has been sketchy lately. I'm looking forward to the ultimate showdown with Darkh. Felicity was annoying as always. She really made it all about her again, really?!

Diggle and Capt Lance don't do dramatic scenes well. They make terrible sad faces. I like how Barry runs all the way there and basically is told to leave. Dude he could solve this whole thing in a few minutes, he's the Flash!

The flashbacks to Laurel and Oliver right after Tommy's death proved just how badly the showrunners (Guggenhein and/or whoever the crap) screwed up their relationship. That is the "ship" that should've happened in the show, not freaking Olicity. Instead they torpedoed her character in season 2, and drove her and Oliver apart. Then when they finally started to build her character back up, they freaking killed her off.

I still can't get over that. ...

I guess he got his speed back? Is there no continuity between the two shows?

Arrow was on hiatus longer than Flash was, so the timelines are now off would be my guess.

MOAR Felicity Crying while talking! Seriously I was tired of the character now I'm just tired of her as an actress. O yea and Diggle is awful too. I really want this show to be good again, but I'm worried it won't

Couple questions: 1. How'd they kill laurel, 2. Was that her grave? 3. Is next the finale and is Ollie fighting Darhk?
