Yeah but that's how it should be. Roy's not trained at that level yet. Hell, Thea should be able to take him down. He's somewhere between Laurel and Thea in fighting skills.

I was glad to see DJ boy get it. I hated everything about that guy. I am still having a lot of trouble getting over how they brought Ollie back after his injuries. I'm not ready to call it jumping the shark yet but it is taking me a while to get past it.

Going by Roy's track record, that's not saying much.

Thea also found out real quick that she isn't all that. That DJ boy incapacitated her in pretty quick fashion.

I guess next week we'll get a reversal of the present time and flashback settings with the present time being on the island, and the flashback being in Starling City. That should be pretty neat.

Meh, I think he could take Thea.

I did think it was kinda funny how Roy just busted in, in full Arsenal suit.

Was he listening to them bump uglies outside the door in full outfit? Same thing with Malcolm? I just picture them both in full get up having a coffee outside waiting on them to finish. I get that he was worried about her but their response time was on point.

I actually like Roy though and I wish he would get his arm cut off already.

Roy definitely had a rough episode. Funny thing is that Thea was all over Oliver's nuts after learning he was Arrow but Roy gets no love? In last seasons finale, he left her at his place to help Oliver fight Slade and he only lied to her for the same reasons as Oliver. Why wasn't Thea all over him and apologizing?

Exactly, when she was packing to leave, I fully expected her to say she forgave him and understood that he was helping protect the city and her brother. But no this is CW and they need to drag this shite out for no reason so they could get back together on another episode.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I guess Roy was outside her door with a glass up to his ear and on the door in full Arsenal gear, while Malcolm was in the building across the street watching it all with a telescope in full assassin gear. I think Malcolm spying on Thea while she's getting sexed is probably creeper than Roy following Thea and DJ boy home and standing outside her door listen to it all go down. That's all pretty messed up if you really think about it.

I agree. He could street brawl (and do his patented flips if I remember correctly) before he ever met Oliver. And he trained with Oliver for probably the same about of time as Thea trained with Malcolm. Plus Roy has been able to use what he's learned in real life situations, where she has just spared with her dad (even though it was pretty intense sparing).

She could take him in a sword fight. He would win otherwise. In a flip contest, he would embarrass her (and himself).

And I think next week we finally may get to see Slade try and finish what he started last season. The preview looked like Malcolm may let Slade come out and play for a little while.

Holy shite I hope so

Next week should be awesome. Ollie back on the island with the flashbacks in Straling City

i actually felt really badly for roy this episode. hes been the best thing for Thea yet he just watches her bang some dude who immediately tries to kill her. great job, thea.

i also got the vibe they are somewhat setting up roys eventual "solo act" as he starts to butt heads with oliver. or maybe itll just be oliver coming off his pedestal. they are also really pushing the "speedy" name for obvious reasons.

the thea reaction was perfect, imo. very organic and glad they avoided the overplayed "angry secret" angle.

i also think the show semi-acknowledged the fan reaction to diggle staying at the base while oliver was gone. this episode oliver needed a partner with roy being MIA and he looks directly at diggle, they share a look, then he takes laurel. they are making a point about diggle not seeing action anymore.... until he gets a green ring.

Was just looking at the IMDB page for the new Shannara series from MTV.

Mr LoA DJ, Austin Butler, has been cast to play Wil Ohmsford, and Allanon is going to be played by Manu Bennet. Considering they are currently filming Shannara in New Zealand, it would seem they have both spent a ton of time on airplanes recently.

Sorry, not trying to to take over this thread, thought it was interesting.

Eta: Now that I think about it, they could have been going for a longer con with him, but couldn't after he was cast in Shannara which will be a leading role for him. Obviously New Zealand to Canada created tons of logistical issues. They might have killed him off early so he could do his thing.

If your local CW isn't available, you get the national ones, which are SD. I'm tellin ya, HD antenna is the way to go, assuming you have a CW station within reception distance.

I don't understand this. If I can watch it over the air in HD, why won't direct tv show it in HD. I am in lafayette la.

It all depends on if DirecTV is contracted with the local station in that area. In Augusta, where I live, CW is a substation (26.2) under the same channel number as one of the major networks (26). If I was in Atlanta, I could get it as CW has it's own unique channel number. No idea what the deal in Lafayette is.

Yeah, I was very glad they went the route they did with that. Actually doing a solid job of making Thea likable this season.

The Arrow will face the metahuman Deathbolt on his own in Episode 19 "Broken Arrow".

Well, it apparently didn't take them long after the particle accelerator explosion to introduce a true meta-human into Starling City.

I'm psyched about getting some Slade action in tonight's episode!

ETA: And there he is. His very first scene and he's done knocked the crap out of both Queens.
