Yeah, we know everyone survived so they appear to be attempting to build drama with the review of the pilot's actions. Will he be reprimanded? Will the board of inquiry ask him another question??? Nobody knows!!!!

I think the studio may have made a mistake in missing out on a Summer time release for the classic "board of inquiry" themed blockbusters.

And Hanks' accent just sounds terrible in the commercials.

I'm done with "true" stories.
Hollywood always has to embellish the crap out of them for "entertainment effect" instead of just telling the damn story.

Not really. Nothing about the previews really wowed me.

A 2 hour drawn out movie about a 10 minute event about taking off and landing a plane.

This is my thing.

I'm not against it, I just have no idea how it merits a feature film

Band of Brothers is the greatest thing ever to happen to TV. Lol at you for missing it because "you know how it ends".

I'm a little confused by it... it's a story about a crash landing right after takeoff... and we all know how that ends.

I have no interest in seeing fake Katie Couric interview Fake Sully by paying money to see it.

have literally no idea why anyone would want to watch this movie

It's Captain Phillips in the air basically and that did good at the BO.

I'm sure this will and since I love aircraft, I'm a little more interested in this one.

That being said, I tried to stay away from Titanic as much as possible till my gf made me watch it.

I knew what was going to happen so there had to be some serious BS filler in there.

So I guess no one on here is going to watch Dunkirk when it comes out since we already know what happens, right???

I'm not very excited for Sully either, but there are some good movies based on true events

I just don't know what they can do for 2 hours.
The trailer suggested that there was an investigation and they asked pointed questions to Scully...if that's what the movie's about, it seems like exaggeration, if not fiction. I never heard him treated as anything but man who saved 200 lives.

I get frustrated when Hollywood embellishes a good true story with cheesiness or romance. But in this case, embellishment was probably needed.

Seriously, I can't remember the last Tom Hanks film that I liked. I think it was Castaway. I really don't understand his choices the last ten years.

I imagine it'll be a better version of that movie Denzel did.
Know how I know you never saw Flight, or as you call it--"that movie Denzel did"?

Flight was a movie about addiction. The plane landing was just a plot device. Unless you're talking about Training Day. Since that's about as related to Sully as Flight.

Did you hard pass on Unforgiven, Gran Torino, and Million Dollar Baby as well?
Not a fan of westerns, Gran Torino wasn't that good and I have zero desire to see a movie about a female boxer.
