It's similar to how I felt about the 911 movies.

If this was anyone but Hanks, I'd be skeptical.

But he made Bridge of Spies exciting and that was mainly men speaking in offices.

Did you hard pass on Unforgiven, Gran Torino, and Million Dollar Baby as well?

None of these are good, except Gran Torino does work as an unorthodox comedy.

I imagine it'll be a better version of that movie Denzel did.

I don't think it will be anything at all like that movie was

Tom Hanks has really gone downhill in the roles he's accepted over the past ten years like angels and demons and whatever other shitty davinci code spinoff theyre doing

This movie is gonna suck. How they are able to create a movie around a pilot crashing a plane, I have no clue

Wish he would get back into comedy for a role.

Looks like the who thing is about whether of not the pilot made the right decision, but everyone survived, so it seems like kind of a pointless question.

Fwiw, Davinci Code was the sequel to Angels and Demons in the books. Angels and Demons was better IMO. As far as the movies, they pretty much just followed the books. Not sure what anyone was expecting.

I agree with you. This one just like the one about the captain of the hijacked boat has zero appeal to me.

Which is why they put Tom Hanks in it.

The trailer implies conflict in that there is questioning of his actions. AFAIK there was none of that IRL, and he was universally acclaimed. I guess they thought "good guy acts professionally and heroically, receives approval for it" wasn't sexy enough.
