Thanks. Might give it a shot. Gate looked interesting too.
Just finished Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon.
You were right, the show got damn good. Looking forward to the next season now. I hate how long Japanese shows take to get out.
Was that music I heard from Star Wars? When he defeated the bad guy in the last episode? I'm fairly certain it was.
Loved the fact they used the word Fin at the very end. Was a nice touch to use when it's a story designed to be like an old fairy tale.

I told you. If they keep up this pace and setting, it could really be what SOA should've been.
His fight with the Minotaur was badass.

Gate looked interesting too.
quote:
In August of 20XX, a portal to a parallel world, known as the "Gate," suddenly appeared in Ginza, Tokyo. Monsters and troops poured out of the portal, turning the shopping district into a bloody inferno. The Japan Ground-Self Defence Force immediately took action and pushed the fantasy creatures back to the "Gate." To facilitate negotiations and prepare for future fights, the JGSDF dispatched the Third Reconnaissance Team to the "Special Region" at the other side of the Gate. Youji Itami, a JSDF officer as well as a 33-year-old otaku, was appointed as the leader of the Team. Amid attacks from enemy troops the team visited a variety of places and learnt a lot about the local culture and geography. Thanks to their efforts in humanitarian relief, although with some difficulties they were gradually able to reach out to the locals. They even had a cute elf, a sorceress and a demigoddess in their circle of new friends. On the other hand, the major powers outside the Gate such as the United States, China, and Russia were extremely interested in the abundant resources available in the Special Region. They began to exert diplomatic pressure over Japan. A suddenly appearing portal to an unknown world—to the major powers it may be no more than a mere asset for toppling the international order. But to our protagonists it is an invaluable opportunity to broaden knowledge, friendship, and ultimately their perspective towards the world.

That's the one. Crunchyroll just has it listed as Gate.

Yea, I plan on watching that one soon too.

I'm checking in to see if you decided to watch code geass yet

Just found another maybe.
Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers.
Appears to be set in a Mayan style culture, which I find interesting. First impression is its an epic sword and sorcery-esque action.

Since we're in the dark period of the year with no football or decent tv I've been going back and watching all the gundam series at work. Currently on Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, forgot just how bleak it gets . Kill-em-all Tomino at his finest.

So just finished the availabile episodes for Gate and Rokka, there were only 3 each. Both shows are going to be a lot of fun. I think I prefer Gate though. If only because the main character is really relatable from a "nerd" perspective.

Great series that will keep you on your toes
For any one piece fans out there: Kaidou(one of the four emperors) was finally revealed:
quote:
Perhaps the greatest sign of Kaido's strength is his inability to die. He has been caught and tortured 18 times, and people have attempted to execute him 40 times. However, he mysteriously survived every single attempt because every single execution weapon has broken when being used on him. Kaido also managed to singlehandedly sink nine huge prison ships. Most notably, Kaido has jumped from 10,000 meters in the sky onto the ground, creating a massive shockwave strong enough to sink a large ship nearby, and emerged without a single injury. It has even become a hobby for him to attempt suicide only for it to fail.[1]
Kidds alliance is fricked

I've watched the first three episodes of GATE and this show has some serious potential.
A great premise. I really liked the change of pace and seeing how our modern day military would just straight rape the military of some fantasy world. Good stuff.
Only 3 episodes on Hulu right now, but I'm really looking forward to this show.

I finally got around to watching steins gate, didn't know much about it but damn I was not ready for the oh shite moment with Mayuri. Really enjoyed the series.
Watched psycho pass season 2 as well, didn't think it was as good as the 1st season but it was still worth the watch. The development of the characters in season 1 was hard to beat for sure.
I will have to try and check out Gate because I liked SAO but thought there was just something missing that kept it from going over the top. How's Akame ga Kill?

There are 5 on HULU right now, maybe 6 by now. I'm really enjoying it. Has a great premise.

I don't know why my tv has only three episodes showing.
The show has some real potential though.
Watching the JDSF complete demolish 100,000+ enemies in a matter of minutes was awesome.
For once, our society isn't crushed by the invading force.

I only said HULU because I was tired, and you said HULU. I meant Crunchyroll.

Gotcha. There isn't a crunchyroll app for my tv. They need to get on that.

Which TV is it?
Their Roku app annoys me anyway, can't access your queue. I generally watch on my phone. Can you not send video from your phone to your TV?

It's a Sony. I can send it from my phone to my tv, but I'm lazy.
