I’m really excited for this series. It looks to be more realistic, and I love me some Star Wars espionage.

A 3 episode premiere, and 12 episodes total is great. I’m sure they’ll be slightly over 30 mins, but still probably the lengthiest Star Wars show yet.

just finished all 3. nothing special happening just yet.
slow build up for these first 3 episodes, but i would imagine the rest of the season will get better now that he's obviously going to start his life as a rebel.

Everyone keeps saying it’s slow, but is it good? Is it entertaining? Are they developing characters? Are they setting up big plot points with potential to go somewhere really interesting?

I already hate the action scenes - far too many cuts typical for SW as of late. Disappointing.

It's not bad. It's just slowly getting to him being part of the rebellion. Nice little backstory on who he is and where he came from. I assume it'll have a point later.
setting up big plot points? i mean we know where this goes, so we obviously know the potential of where this goes.

I just finished the first episode and I have no idea what any of the scenes were about. I had to check to make sure I didn't actually start on episode 3. I get that they are building up the world and characters, but give me something concrete in at least one scene please.

I watched the first episode this morning, not sure my boss would like me watching all 3 lol.

I enjoyed it. It's not as faced paced as some of the other Star Wars shows, but it did provide some back story as to how the rebellion is currently working in 5 BBY.

I'm gonna try to finish the other two tonight.

Just finished all 3 episodes. It makes sense why they released 3 at once, it takes that long to get the set up.

My thoughts on Rogue One was that is was a very well done Star Wars movie, but that story did not need to be told. I felt the same about this series going in, but I’m much more intrigued now.

So far, it’s dark, gritty, has some excellent actors, and is not pandering to kids. 2 bantha thumbs up.

For context, I thought Obi-Won was awful.

i disagree, the story to tell how the plans were stolen and given to the rebellion leading into ANH was great - it was a good story to be told - and honestly I though Rogue One did that pretty well.

I haven’t started it yet, but I feel like I’m going to be left with the question of, “why is this show necessary?”

I mean, I liked Andor in Rogue One, but do we really need his background story? It’s not like he’s a character that has been around since the original trilogy and we’ve been waiting decades to get the back story on (like Boba Fett). I hope the show is great and changes my mind, though.

I like the idea of a gritty cold war-esque spy/heist story set in the Star Wars universe.

This is 5 years before ANH so about 5-7 years after Obiwan. So the Empire has been around about 15 years.

I like how they are using the (not quite) Corporate Sector guys. Anyone who read Brian Daly’s Han Solo Adventures will remember them.

Fiona Shaw saying this is an indictment of the Trump years obviously means she hasn’t been paying attention to current events.

I hate the idea of the spy/heist stuff for Star Wars. Very boring so far. The two words I hate to hear are slow burn. This show is just not interesting at all. Hope it gets better.

Slow, was expecting more after the opening scene. Diego Luna is great though.

What I hate the most about Disney is the young actors and actresses they use always seem terrible. The flashback scenes are terrible so far. Just like with Leia in Kenobi. It’s like they molested these kids first then stuck them on screen.
