alright, I just looked it up, and it appears that has Clark Gregg confirmed it... which brings me back to my original post:
Johnny Blaze won't make an appearance again, as he gave up the Rider to Robbie now. So Blaze is now just a normal human without the Rider (spirit of vengence) - you can't have Ghost Rider Robbie and Blaze, one or the other, and the spirit of vengeance left this world at the end of episode 22.
ETA: I just noticed the bullet hole on the original Rider, nice touch of detail from the production crew.
