Kind of surprised to not see Jurassic Park on the list.

And I just want to say the score from Requiem For A Dream really sticks with you.
ETA: or was that borrowed?

I'm not.
Look....the Jurassic Park score is pretty awesome. The main theme is legendary. But John Williams also scored a little known film that very same year called Schindler's List. Top to bottom, that was a better score than Jurassic Park.

No "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"?

Last of the mohicans?
Has literally only one track worth a damn. An epic track. But still only one track nonetheless.

Planet of the Apes has an underrated score. Glad to see it on the list.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is a notable omission. Think beyond the title music. There’s scenes in that move where the music really takes the action on screen to a whole new level.
Also... try not to laugh at this... but Conan the Barbarian is a legit score. Honorable mention, at least? Hell, in my book, it’s top ten.

Would of thought E.T. would of been top 5. The chase scene with the cops / bikes was fricking brilliant.

They put Morricone on the list with The Mission. I can accept that. I think that it is his most complete, while still experimental and non-traditional score.
The ommision of CONAN I can understand. The first time I was recommended that score, I thought it was a joke.
Upon listening, I was blown away. A masterpiece.
But because it is for a cheesy action movie, it will never get recognition from the "elites".
Word-of-mouth does say a lot about the quality of the score. The fact that people still talk about it and are buying it thirty-five years later is a greater compliment than anything else I can think of.

I'm not at all. Aside from the main theme, which is iconic as shite, I can't remember a single track. I don't even think it's in the Top 100. One theme doesn't get you on the list.
"The Good the Bad and the Ugly", "2001 A Space Odyssey", and "The Fellowship of the Ring" should have made it.

I love Star Wars, but it shouldn’t be number 1.

Terrible list. So apparently they haven't made any movies since 1985. Like someone said, at least LOTR should have been on there to give it one modern movie.

LOTR is a pretty shocking omission. Like almost every track is iconic in it. "Concerning Hobbits", The Fellowship Theme, Isengard, Mordor, the Ring theme, Rivendell, Moria, the Ringwraiths, and hell I haven't even gotten to the sequels yet. I'd say it's a Top 10 and almost as iconic as Star Wars. It is modern day Wagner.

Shawshank should be on there.

Did an 85 year old make this list?

The Mission needs to be MUCH higher on the list. Hell music is an integral part of the plot.
Not having Conan on this list make the list a 100% total abomination.
