They were mixing live, current interviews with survivors and first responders, with actual videos shot at the time the towers were burning. In one scene, the live interview was with a NYFD and he said he would never forget one sound. And then they cut to a video of the area around Tower One & you could actually hear, for lack of a better word, loud splats after loud splats. It was the sound of bodies hitting the ground, jumpers from the Tower. The fireman was literally shaking as he was remembering. They also showed a room filled with guns, all burned, damaged, & they had belonged to all those who carried them. A sober reminder of how many law enforcement officers were killed that day and for many, this was all that remained.

The nearby building videos are terrible as well.

It's o woman's voice. The horror and change in her voice when they realize people aren't breaking windows to throw things out, but people are jumping out is chilling.

There's a call with a 911 operator where the tower literally falls as the guy is talking to her. Last words he says are "Oh God!" then the call disconnects

Creeps me out and depresses me all at once

Every 9/11 I rewatch the videos. Won't ever forget the day in my 5th grade classroom.

It occurred to me that a significant number of posters on this board have no firsthand recollection of 9/11. If you're in college now, you were 3-7 years old when it happened.

I've never ventured too far down the rabbit hole, but that's a great way to feel depressed for the rest of your week

I was in 4th grade so I was old enough to remember everything vividly, but I'd imagine a 7 year old would've remembered too. don't underestimate how profound an impact teachers having absolutely no idea what to do or say and the general feeling of panic can have on a child

I was 8, and I just graduated LSU. I have pretty vivid memories of that day and the aftermath, but I imagine most kids younger than me probably didn't fully understand what happened. So yeah, its possible that most college students now don't have much memory of 9/11.

There are some great, uplifting stories: the fighter pilots willing to be kamikazes to stop Flight 91; the passengers on Flight 91 whose heroism made it unnecessary; Rick Rescorla who may have been one of the bravest men who ever lived; the firefighters who kept marching up the stairs and doing their duty to the end, even though they knew for a certainty they weren't getting out of it alive.

I couldn't watch the series...is too haunting. To this day I am still in disbelief and our son, only son no less, is still in the middle of that cesspool known as the ME

9-11-16 is the first NFL Sunday. I wonder what the non-standers for the anthem are going to do? This is a big day in America.
I don't care what you say your protest is, you put it aside for this day. Oh and the 49er's don't play until Monday night.
