I don't know why they make these dumb remakes of 80s-90s movies. Most of them have the box office impact of a wet fart (RoboCop, Total Recall, Poltergeist, Footloose)
I've said it before, the studio would be better off spending the money on a deluxe Blu Ray version and trying to get Keanu Reeves and Gary Busey to do some interviews promoting it, instead of making a movie that no one sees.

any ways, yes that movie poster looks awful and i'm not typically critical.
i enjoyed point break, but have no interest in this being done.. however i am sure i will watch it at some point just out of curiosity.
the very first fast and furious totally ripped off point break.

I hate that they're remaking this movie. Point Break is a classic that was only good because of the personalities of the actors in it. That can not be remade. The story is generic and script is bad, but we love it because of Keanu, Swayze, and Busey. There is no fricking reason to remake this movie. It doesn't need update special effects. It doesn't need to be touched.

I enjoyed the first one when I saw it but upon rewatching its not a very good movie.

Precisely. This was the movie in which Patrick Swayze just oozed movie star out of a pore of his body. It's not a good movie, but it was Swayze at the peak of his powers, Keanu being a solid lead, and Busey going full Busey.

Break.0 had a proven action cast. Don't really recognize the actors in this. The Director did Payback, which I sort of dug, but this looks like potential dog vomit.
I wonder what three new ideas got benched for another damn remake. If they wreck this I hope Swayze comes back & haunts them as Bodhi.

Looks like the original LBJ/Young Grommet makes a return to this version as an FBI so-and-so.
Original was in true sense a classic because of the awesome cast.
