Sharing the coverage with the LPGA and finishing on Monday will end up hurting the memory of it though

Expect a lot of the big guns to play next year. The players seemed to love it this year.

Not me. And certainly not for the players. This kind of passion has never been associated with this tournament. It's huge.

First time in 35 years the Tour had a team format.

Helped this year that the Wells Fargo isn't at Quail Hollow and doesn't draw as good of a field.

But I definitely see all the big names who played this year coming back, and I'm sure you'll see some other top 15-20 guys want to join.

13 of the top 30 this year. Next year, I'll guess 18.

I hope the Ryder cup committees realize this could be a test run for pairings they are thinking of using. Be nice to see Rory play. Jordan really didn't like the greens judging by some of the comments he was making as I was following him this weekend

He was leaving putts short after lots of rain. They weren't that bumpy. That's on him.

What is format Monday? 18? Sudden death?

Starts with sudden death on 18. Not sure where they go from there.

Sudden death on 18.

I think they go 18-18-17-18-16-17-18 although for some reason I seem to remember 1-8-9 being in a rotation.

They will probably have to go to 17 to determine a winner.

My takeaways from my Saturday's experience being there:

Great crowd (duh)

Spieth is thinner than I thought, but I had to remember TV adds 10lbs to almost everybody.

Brooks Koepka is a big muscular dude, more ripped than I realized. (my wife had fun watching him, being tall, dark and fit, she was like )

Brooks hit a moonshot drive, I think the 15th, and his brother turned to the few following and flexed his bicep. People were laughing.

The crowd following Spieth's group reminded meof Tiger's crowd in late 2000 at Orlando, maybe '99. By far the largest crowd of any grouping by miles. Golf is in great shape w/o El dickhead.

While playing and waiting his turn to hit, Spieth spoke with a young girl by the rope and he also shook a young boys hand on another fairway too. Don't know if its common, but he was the only player I saw do it.

yep, a good number of the younger players invest time with the kids during the round.

I love how the PGAT has a kids only autograph section and most of their events - it is a great strategy.

Jordan is 1st class all the way - Phil has done a good bit with the 20 somethings on tour to get them educated about the importance of interacting with the fans....and signing autographs.

Playoff underway, Blixt's drive is in trouble left.

Edit: Not too bad stayed on the levee.
