the brees votes are laughable but you could make a solid argument that graham(and perhaps gronkowski as well) is an absolute freak of nature, and while his career is only a few years old, his ceiling is higher than anyone that's ever played the TE position.

its similar to choosing moss over rice.

QB - Elway

You can laugh all you want, but its safe to say Brees and Graham are both stat monsters regardless of what anyone can say. If this wasn't a Louisiana board it wouldn't get much laughs.

If this weren't a Louisiana board, they wouldn't get any votes

Actually, Graham would probably still get chosen a good bit.

it just depends what the OP is asking. who is the greatest tight end of all time? its easily tony gonzalez.

or is the OP asking us to construct some hypothetical team based more on talent/absolute best at their peak without regard to longevity, career accolades, etc. the ladder could make a solid argument for graham.

He's the FB on my legit answer to this.

BTW, I'm friends with his grand daughter.

Graham would get more votes than Brees, he is an athletic freak. I find it hard to believe anyone that is not a Saints homer would put Brees on an ALL-TIME list, considering he is not even top 3 of his generation

Graham isn't top 3 in his generation either.

QB: Peyton Manning
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson (I think his pass catching would compliment Peyton, Barry Sanders is clearly better)
FB: Mike Alstott (not the best at one thing, but would be great for short-yardage)
WR: Jerry Rice
WR: Randy Moss
TE: Tony Gonzalez

I agree but it's a lot more reasonable to say you will take Graham for his receiving ability and athleticism than to say you take Brees over Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Elway, etc..(insert any all time great qb)

It's what unit fits together and maximizes everyone's talent.

All-Star teams are usually crap when it's just the so-called best player vs. a real team.

These questions are all about who gets it - which player excelled at what and how do you maximize that with the players around him and vice-versa.

Jerry Rice and Calvin Johnson and Gonzo...together, with Barry dancing Sanders in the backfield...give me a break. That's a dumb arse team.
