Nash was better than Stockton and I don't think it's particularly close either. Nash's teams finished #1 or #2 in Offensive Rating for TEN consecutive years. By comparison, the Jazz finished #1 or #2 in ORTG three times during Stockton's entire career. And you can't use the supporting cast argument for Stockton because he had Karl Malone for his entire career along with other good offensive players such as Darrell Griffith, Jeff Malone and Jeff Hornacek. Nash was a significantly better and more impactful offensive player than Stockton was and it overrides any advantage Stockton had on the defensive end of the floor.

Stockon wasn't in a "seven seconds or less" offense, either.

No doubt.
But I'm thinking about Nash alleys to Brent on the fast break being the greatest thing ever.

Posters leaving out Mchale. He is one of the most skilled offensive post players of all time. I'd Def have him over Dirk

I hear you about McHale, but all 5 of my guys took home an MVP trophy at some point.
Got to put those guys up there first.
McHale's get a lot of love for his post play and it's deserving.
but his legacy is overshadow because he played with Bird.

lol no.
A team with Stockton, Bird, Dirk aren't getting blow out. Nash, Mchale, Havlichek, West. Throw kevin love in as well

this is a fun arguement and your point has some merit.
Space Jam Scenario-I'm taking John and I love Steve Nash.
Steve Nash benefited from a more guard friendly NBA era.
Imagine that Jazz team and effectiveness of the Stockton Malone PnR today.
but like I said, you have valid reasoning.

It's a little like picking the top 5 white sprinters. What's the point?
