They've thrown 13 passes completed 2. WVU as a team has 4 ints. It's good seeing a Dana Holgorsen defense dominating, and GA Southern beat Florida, and nearly beat GT and NCST so they aren't a complete punching bag.

Now 37-0 WVU.

I'm honestly surprised by the score. Ga southern is usually pretty tricky for a lot of teams.

They used to be an FCS powerhouse. Now they're a dejected fa base lol. Last time we played them, there were a couple of ga southern fans at our tailgate and we tried to talk to them and they were rude as frick.

"Nah man, stfu. Your going to beat us."

And I grew up way too close to ga southern. So this outcome is nice.

Southern isn't bad, and their fans were on our message boards talking a bunch of shite up until the game today.

It's now 44-0 WVU. This team is going to compete for the Big 12 title, the defense is legit full of senior starters.

The offense has a ton of young talent, so we'll see.

They beat Florida at the swamp in 2013.

They lost by less than 5 points to GT and NC ST last year, this is a legit program.

WVU is going to be legit this year. They'll contend for the Big 12 title, and they'd certainly beat Louisville.

Kevin Ellison was a huge part of this.

Not saying it wasn't impressive to have 3 INT's in a quarter, but the GA Southern teams that competed against Florida, Georgia Tech, and NC State had Kevin Ellison.

As for whether WVU can compete for the Big 12 this year, they have to go to Oklahoma, TCU, and Baylor this year.

-They are FBS
-Hadn't been shut out since 1995
-Returned their RB that averaged an FBS leading 8.7 yards last year (He averaged 4.1 tonight)
-True Freshman Jovon Durante (4 star) had 121 yards receiving and a TD
-Sophomore Shelton Gibsion (4 star) had 130 yards receiving and a TD
-5 Star Rushel Shell had a TD tonight

The future is bright in Morgantown. If Lamar Jackson hadn't demanded he be he only QB recruit in WVU's class, he'd be a Mountaineer. Dana wasn't playing that game, so he went to UL. Congrats, he'll be good.

I hope we get a WVU/UL home and home in the future, it would be fun.

Good luck this season

And that was one of the best defenses I've ever seen. Although I'm not going to say they got Alabama's A game.

That was one of the best WVU games I've seen in a while, 44-0 arse kicking.

The Mountaineers have a good team this year. Should crush Liberty and Maryland, then it's off to Norman to face OU. If this team beats the Sooners, look out.

Sun Belt conference champs last year and should have beat both GT and NC State.

They did lose their entire O-line but they definitely ran in to a buzz saw with the WVU defense.Very impressive. Not so much with the WVU offense...defense pretty much set them up all night and Southern took way too many risk going for it several times on 4th down and missing.
