He did not win the National Title.

I was talking about how he served and secured USAA for his family and the family didn't even have to serve.

What IS the deal with that USAA insurance? I get that they cater to veterans and I hear that their product is very good, but you don't "earn" insurance, which is what I gather when you watch their commercials. Is their product that unique and special that it's that big a deal? I'm actually asking, not being sarcastic.

those commercials are really a sore subject with me...i've been a member for longer than i want to admit and i think of all that money that should be coming back to members rather than buying television time...

USAA is an insurance cooperative started back in the 1920s because military officers had a hard time getting car insurance, they used to have the best customer service you could ever think of and when an insurance salesman would cold call...as soon as you said you were with USAA, they said thanks and hung up...

personally, i'm not happy with the present management because they're expanding the base beyond the original purpose...
