re: Would you support Danny Green winning Finals MVP?

Your argument is awful. You're essentially saying that LeBron is awesome pretty much all of the time, so he shouldn't get the credit he deserves. Since Wade sucked for three games and then finally decided to show up, he should get the MVP if the Heat win?
If the Spurs win, give the MVP to Manu because his one good game helped them win Game 5? Disregard all other games and players, though, because Manu showed up once and they probably wouldn't have won without him playing as well as he did?
Wade played like absolute shite for 3 games. If LeBron had abysmal games like that, this series would be over.

Stats always don't tell the whole story. As I said earlier Game 4 was won because of Wade's effectiveness scoring the 32 in all types of ways on San Antonio. Then Lebron at the end of the game jacks up 3 meaningless jumpers one being a 3 hitting all 3 to outscoe Wade. People looking at the stats only would swear Lebron outplayed Wade. Spolstra shouldn't have even had all 3 of his stars in at the end of that game because Popovich had already thrown in the towel by removing his top players.
Take away the last 3 shots he made, he still went 26(55%)-11-6. You are talking like DWade did it alone.

The Heat were up 7 when LeBron left the floor..
By the time he came back they were up 11..
Its a big difference between Wade closing the game like he did in game 4. To game 2 where Wade had no part whatsoever in the 33-5 run.

Excellent point. If Manu averages 25 the next game (or two)
Then by this logic he deserves MVP for the Spurs.
Despite Duncan getting 16/12, Parker 16/7, Green getting 18/4 throughout the series.

That's his total FGM-FGA.
He's 11/17 on 3s so far.
Edit: Just realized he's 11/17 both inside out and outside the arc
Yeah, you're right. WTF did I get that? Dumb Heat fan made me think it was true.
ETA: No, hes actually 22-34 inside and outside the arc.

quote:Not even gon bother to type all that other crap because it is that crap. And you have everything I said wrong as usual. Sure, Wade has been missing in action the first 3 games, but Lebron has done minimal stuff throughout the series and people just wanna throw out stats and give him the damn MVP because the stats say you should.
Your argument is awful.
Comparin a all but disappeared Ginobili to Wade is something that's an awful comparison. Ginobili has done shite the whole series including last nite. Green and Parker keep hurting the Heat. And for the last time I said my argument for Wade winning MVP is based solely on what he does the next two games because he will have played great in 4 straight games. Not what he has done in the first 3 because I don't know what he was doing. Whether he was hurt or what? But if he continues playin great and they win the championship he desreves consideration. He was solely responsible for the scoring outburst against San Antonio in Game 4 that sparked the rest of the team no matter what people say. The first Miami win was a team win with Miller and all contributing. Sure Lebron as usual contributed by scoring points in meaningless parts of the game, but lebron as been up and down in this series. And people wanna give him MVP because of his stat sheet. Wade was solely responsible for lifting them back up to victory and I hope he continues playin well because they will need it.

Lebron is so great he should just put Miami on his back and carry them to victory the next two games.

Is that not true? Because I think it's absolutely true.

Always calling people names like the idiotic child you are when people point out how stupid you are. You don't shite from shite. Stick to who you are and leave conversations to the adults.
If lebron was so great you frickin moron why did he go to Miami in the first place??

I wouldn't point out that you're a moron if you weren't such a moron.

Crazy thing is Ray Allen is shooting a similar 3 point % as Green this finals. Just not as many shot attempts.
Ray Allen is shooting 22-34 from 3-point range this finals (which is very good), so yes he is close, but he's Ray Allen, so its expected that he shoots from 3 well(probably why you aren't hearing about it as much). Also, Ray Allen does nothing else in the box score besides shoot. If he doesn't shoot well, then he's basically worthless. He doesn't pass much or drive, doesn't defend, and definitely doesn't scrap. Danny Green has a block in every single game so far, averages a couple of assists, and about 3 rebounds, and you've seen the big plays on the defensive end with the LeBron fast break strip. Ray Allen hasn't had a single steal or block the entire series. He also doesn't even start. So he's clearly just a role player at best in the series and hasn't had the same impact as Green outside of 3-pt shooting efficiency, but 3-pointers aren't he only reason Green would win MVP.
Actually, the 3's are the only reason Green would win MVP. I love Green and his story. He's a guy you love to root for. He hasn't been the MVP for the Spurs though.
He does 2 things. He shoots 3's and he plays transition D. He has 5 FG's that are 2 PTers and 5 FT's (75 points from 3, 15 elsewhere). Any time he tries to drive is usually a disaster resulting in a block or a turnover. He can't create his own shot very well and he doesn't pass very well. He shoots open shots extremely well. On D he gets back (since he is almost always at the 3 point line) and does a good job. In the half court though you will rarely see him on Wade and never on Lebron. He can't begin to handle those guys.
Parker and Duncan are the two that are putting all the pressure on Miami and making their points by going at the Big 3. Miami knows they must stop them in order to have a chance and that leaves Green and others wide open to knock down 3's. Gary Neal is also shooting 50% from 3 and he's a scrub. There are a lot of guys that can hit open 3's, there just aren't many teams that create so many (or teams that fail to stop all the open 3's).
Green may well win but if he does it is because people are caught up in the story, not because he was the difference. You have to do more than shoot 3's and play transition D.
Oh, and if you don't think Ray Allen could shoot that well you are nuts. Allen can't even imagine being left so wide open he could order pizza like Green has on about half his shots.

Yea I'd support it. But if the spurs win they'll give it to Tony Parker. Green deserves it though.
