Would you rather be McNeese who is #4 in the FCS poll with a legitimate shot to win a national championship or ULL whose top prize for the season is playing in the New Orleans Bowl?

Is neither an option?

Always love the way people act as if I-AA isn't a legit division. (I still call it I-AA. frick FCS. that's stupid).

If you keep up with high school football, there's no difference between classes are handled. It's just a different classification due to numbers/size of schools. If you come from a 3A school and win the state championship, does it mean absolutely nothing because you're not 4A or 5A?

McNeese is lighting up the scoreboard this year minus one bad game in Iowa. I guess they schemed McNeese perfectly on the defensive side of the ball. They've beaten Sam Houston St. (who has been in the National Championship game 2 years in a row) and has a shot to basically wrap up the SLC Championship this week vs. SE La. (SFA and Lamar left on the schedule afterwards)

McNeese has more Southland Conference championships than all the other schools in the conference combined. It's good to see them get back on track.

Now, with that said, they need to get back on track and win in the playoffs, something they haven't done in a while.

They're in line for a 1st Round playoff bye and home field at this point.

With all that said, SLU is a big game this weekend.

Being that our name debate probably got more pub than a potential I-AA national championship, I'd rather be UL. (No bias here)

NOLA Bowl is fun as frick. What kind of attendance does a I-AA national championship game typically draw?

if we play Tulane, it will be unbelievable. I went two years ago and can honestly say that it was the best time I ever had at any sporting event.

The stadium they play in holds 20,500. Sold out the first two years. This will be the third year they've played at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX.

The record is 32k.

I would rather be a top tier 1-AA (I still use that name as well) football school than a run of the mill Sun Belt conference team that only gets invited to play the big boys when they big guys need to get their freshmen some playing time.

With Hud at ULL, I'd rather be them, because they are playing in bowl games, even if it is one of the worst bowls going. Of course, once Hud leaves ULL will go back to the major suckage and they won't matter anymore.

NLU games were, by and large, more fun than ULM games are, but that Bama win was really sweet.

Congrats on doing the same thing that West Monroe High School fans do every year.

If ULL was playing in the Motor City Bowl how many of those 30,000 Cajun fans would make the trip to Detroit? The NOLA Bowls have been perfect for the Cajuns due to the location and the matchup that bowl provides.

Yeah. We know how much the SEC schools hate playing in the Sugar Bowl.
