well considering playing in the snow would force the other team to play into their strengths then im going to say that they would be even more dominant in the snow

Anything weather factor that diminishes their opponent's ability to pass effectively (wind, rain, snow) would help Alabama a lot more than hurt them.

When they get used to it yes. The weather is a great equalizer. Don't kid yourselves because Alabama would have their struggles if they had to play in 35 degrees with rain, sleet and wind. It limits what you can do.

Alabama is beat when it runs the ball. Those weather factors would effect Kiffin's game plan, not Alabama's or Saban's.
But, I give you Big 10 fans credit. No way in hell would I sit through a game in some of the weather that y'all put up with

Just layer up and have more than a couple beers.

The rain is bad news though when it's cold and windy.

I was at Michigan State vs Ohio State and it really wasn't terrible. If it had been raining instead of snowing it would've been miserable.

Superdome has historically been a house of horrors for Bama outside of 21-0.

You mean recently. Alabama has appeared in the Sugar Bowl more than anyone. With 15 appearances and an 8-7 record. Three of those losses since 2008, as you mentioned.

No southern teams are scared of playing in the cold.

1992 might be the most legit NC ever.

And everyone should be happy that it stopped Miami in their tracks. At least for a little bit. FSU and UF, y'all are welcome.

Playing in the snow isn't a huge deal. Playing in the cold with wind is. It completely changes the game. Now playing in the cold on a windy day where it's cold enough to still rain. That is fricking miserable.

This. It becomes an issue in the snow when it accumulates on the field, visibility is an issue, you can't see the lines and lose traction. Regardless of talent on the field, it slows the game to a crawl and makes ball security difficult. But this doesn't happen often during the college season. Wind, cold, rain, sleet however is a frequent thing.

How would Washington play if they had to play in Tuscaloosa the first week of September in the sweltering heat and humidity of the south?

Right , they'd deal with it for 60 minutes and play their brand of football. Stupid thread is stupid.

Seattle averages 6.8 inches of snowfall a year.

to compare, Nashville, TN averages 7 inches of snowfall a year.

They wouldn't be as good, which is the point... just as Bama wouldn't be as good in the snow, because most of them see it very rarely, and the cold messes with their bodies.

Or the Saints sucking in outdoor cold weather, or the Tampa Bay Bucs losing for years and years in it? The effect is real.

When you're more worried about surviving the cold than thriving in it, you lose
