Why not college overtime rules? They're pretty fair to me.

Depends on who it causes to lose the Super Bowl.

All these college football nuts having a hard time coping with the strict nature of the National Football League. Love it.

Ot ends when team has ball and lead or a team has lead at end of quarter. Simple. Fair. Puts strategy into play and can be short or longer.

team kicks FG with 30 seconds left in ot period. Other team gets ball and has 30 seconds to score.

Other than end of a period you play till leading team gets possession.

Regular season at end of quarter, game ends in tie. Playoffs obviously play on.

I'd kill to see someone take the lead and then recover a sneak onside to win it.

Defense is just as much a part of your team as the offense. This is why the NFL OT works, and why the college OT doesn't. Sorry.

You could always just make it a running clock with only the team timeouts stopping it if injuries are that big of a concern... But that would require a refrain from seeing the same commercials for the 72nd and 73rd times.

But it's fine the way it is.
