Meh.

I've watched most of the postseason games. They have been fantastic.

Football has 11 minutes of actual playing. To me the NFL is boring. I enjoy MLB. Always have and always will.

Baseball is a regional draw. Football is a national draw. It's not better or worse for this... It's just the nature of the beast. I'm not going to tune in casually for 200 games a year.

Yep, Baseball has always been this way. And I'm perfectly fine with it being that way.

And local ratings are at all time highs

There is a reason these baseball TV contracts are worth billions

Watching the Royals and the fans has been fun. Even Mr. Marlin guy behind home plate is entertaining.

West Coast team with a 5pm local time start on a weekday playing a small-market team with no national following. Ratings don't surprise me at all.

It's all about perception and TV sets, no one cares about the Royals because up until now they were just another team to show on Sports Center getting beat by Detriot, Yankees, A's etc. now that they're in the WS the national media has to cover it but believe me it's not what they wanted. East/West coast is the desired location for big time professional sporting events if truth be told but now they got to deal with it, and when you think about it, it's strange how many people want to see the same old teams in the mix for titles and championships even if it's not your hometown or state team, it's almost like everyone has been conditioned to expect and want the same old same old

In fairness, tv ratings for just about everything other than the super bowl are down nationally since there are more options and more media to watch programs. Also, local ratings are way up for baseball markets.

I'd say opposite. I love this Giants team. They just know how to win playoff baseball. If they win again they're a dynasty.
