Les might be goofy as hell, but he is not stupid. He has it made right where he is. Les has never really had to resurrect a football program, so who knows if he could do it at Michigan. I would be very surprised to see Les take the UM job. If nothing else, he'll us it as leverage to get himself another raise at LSU. I definitely think LSU is stupid enough to fall for it and give him a raise.

Becasue in my humble opinion, Les Miles is an average coach and is stuck in the past. His style just irks me and he gets in his own way! LSU can do better! I don't mind them losing, but sometimes the way they lose irks the frick out of me! He also makes some of the dumbest calls ever! It just seems he is not always in the game and knows wtf is going on!

Lord Baby Jesus does LSU have some of the dumbest fans in the world or what????

A lot of guys. I'd never want Les Miles in charge of my program.

You do know that Miles hasn't received a significant raise since the 2007 season, right?

Everyone who wants les to leave for michigan is stupid. Why do you want to get rid of the first coach in our history to average 10 win seasons every year. Won a championship and played for another and consistently brings in top recruiting classes. When you want him gone just as yourself if you really trust Alleva to make a better hire than what we have. So please make all these miles to Michigan threads stop.

I'm concerned as hell that we would botch the hire...long term, we've really got nowhere to go but down considering we've won more games than anyone the last 10 years. Much more likely that we would be headed down than up with a coaching change...not much room to move "up."

I'm very interested in what happens as Michigan in the context of Miles, but you can't just bury your head in the sand ... It is what it is...He loves Michigan and has roots there that are what they are, their program sucks and needs a proven winner, Miles is a proven consistent winner at the highest level....Miles2Michigam may not be likely, but it is certainly a possibility that will get thrown around and discussed a lot in the coming months. So get ready...the Michigan boards pulled their Harbaugh/Harbaugh/Miles wish list out of the 2013 drawer weeks ago after the ND loss.

All that said, I like the status quo...LSU is poised for big things in 2015 and 2016, and I don't want a coaching change to potentially derail that

Still bad timing though as far as people wanting Miles to leave.

1. He loves LSU.

2. I'd be willing to bet that he'll want Manny to finish his high school career considering he only has a year and a half left.

I don't consider losing a coach that wins 80% of his games to be very "lucky"

Also, who would we replace Miles with? It's not like there are a lot of big names out there.

You people that rant about wanting Miles gone have to be functioning retards.

Miles will have top5 - if not Top3 - odds to become Michigan's next head coach.

They would come after Cam Cameron before they would come after Miles.

Lol, no. Michigan may very well not offer Miles, but I can guarantee you Michigan won't be hiring a coach that was fired at Indiana.

Although if Miles were to get the Michigan gig, I feel pretty confident Cam would be going with him as OC...Chavis not sure what he would do.

Well in their defense they did that with RichRod.

Hoke was an awful hire...no way no how does a mediocre San Diego St coach deserve the Michigan job. It was just an awful hire that made zero sense.

Would be a longshot, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that LSU should make every effort possible to go lure Fisher away. He is my #1 choice if the unlikely happened and Miles left/retired. He wasn't ready in 2004, unfortunately, so things just didn't work out given the circumstances. But I think he's great and knows the lay of the land better than anyone. I really really like Fisher...I liked him before the nat.title, and that just sealed the deal for me in regards to my respect for his as a coach.

Truth but they shouldn't have fired Rich IMO, at least not after year 3. Rod can coach circles around Hoke

I'm on board. I was really excited about the face of the program after the Virginia Tech Sugar Bowl win, but that seems decades ago.

This is one of the worst Michigan teams I have witnessed in a while.
