Wow what an incredibly loaded field for a USTA junior tournament.

Check out this 14 year old Canadian, Felix Auger Aliassime, and his 40 plus shot rally in a challenger match, where he recently won 2 matches at the challenger level. The kid looks like a future star!

I've been following it. Wish I was there to watch that final. I'm pulling for Kozlov since he took the time to visit with the kids at the local academy when he was in town and seemed like a good guy. I talked to him about strings. I espoused the virtues of Wilson NXT. He didn't seem very interested. I guess most of the top young players just use poly only.

Eta that's Kozlov 2nd row green and blue stripes. My daughter is front row purple jacket.

Watching this match, Tiafoe looks exactly as expected. To be honest, I'm not sure if Kozlov's game translates into becoming a top professional player. The fundamentals are solid and he is mentally tough, but his game is not that big.

The top-seeded Tiafoe won the 100th annual U.S. Tennis Association Boys 18 National Championship, 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, 6-4 in a grueling marathon match that lasted over four hours. Both players received medical attention for cramps, they both went through multiple wardrobe changes to combat the sweat buildup and they both wore their emotions on their sleeves as the match unfolded

Tiafoe got his second Top 100 win yesterday in the Winston Salem qualifying. Plays Ryan Harrison in the next round.

Have watched Taylor Fritz a few times during WTT. While there are some questions re: Kozlov's future on the pro tour given his size/stature, Fritz's game should translate well on the pro tour. He definitely has the look of a future star in the making.

Tiafoe lodged another top 100 win taking out James Duckworth in 3 sets to win his first ATP main draw match.

Taylor Fritz is playing Tommy Paul in the finals of the US Open Jrs. This is Fritz' third JR. grand slam final this year and this match will be a rematch of the French Open Jr. final earlier this year, which was won by Paul.

Last week, Taylor Fritz joined Tomic, Young, Kyrgios, Coric and Zverev as the only players aged 17 & under to win a Challenger title in the last decade.

This week, he won his second Challenger in a row. He is the 9th player aged 17 & under to win multiple Challenger titles - 7th active (Gasquet, DelPo, Djoker, Berdych, Nadal, Tomic).

Both Challenger final wins were over Dustin Brown - the guy who knocked out Nadal out of the 2015 Wimbledon.

Future of American tennis is very bright with Fritz, Tiafoe, Opelka, Donaldson, Paul, Kozlov & Mmoh.
