Will there ever be a more famous NFL player than O.J. Simpson?

He's the only NFL player who's a household name even among people who don't follow the sport at all just like everybody knows who Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods are. He is also the only football player who is legitimately famous worldwide. Will there ever be a day when another football player surpasses O.J. in overall fame? I don't see it happening.

In fairness, playing Nordberg in the Naked Gun movies probably really raised his profile in Asia and the Eastern Bloc.

Idk about OJ level but because of twitter Odell's name became world famous after his catch. Even accounts I follow from Europe were tweeting about it.
