UGA, OSU, and Mich are definitely the top 3. How is Tenn not 4 with only one loss and a beat down of LSU? Now LSU at 5 I can agree with.

Tenn will get benefit of the doubt because pollsters should realize UGA is just better than everyone else. I mean they've smacked down two teams that will be ranked in the Top 8. (UT and Oregon) So
1. UGA
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. UT

eta-I could see OSU and UM being flipped as the struggle in Evanston looked bad and Meatchicken destroyed Rutgers. A far better team than NW.

Bama lost by 1 point. Pollsters are very kind to Bama. And enamored when you beat them.
And UT whipped LSU who will be Top 8. There isn't a team in the nation that should be #4 ahead of UT. So they lost to a juggernaut in UGA but they beat Bama and whipped LSU.

LSU is a better team than they were a month ago. The committee looks at that.
And from what I saw of the UGA/UT game it wasn't as close as the score appeared.
