their field, Jacobs Field is a very nice park. the location is downtown but in today's Cleveland it's not that hard to get to.

imo, there is no excuse for that poor attendance. my only comment is Cleveland is a shite sport city and has been for a long, long time. the Cav's won their first title and everybody knows why.

Trade back-to-back Cy Young award winners because you cannot resign.
Not being able to resign any of the hitters from the 90's in their prime.
Sick and tired of cheap ownership existing as a farm system for the rest of the league.

That being said, attendance is improving.

The owner wants attendance low so the lease can be broken and the team can move to Miami.

Once the trade deadline passes and the cheap arse owner doesn't blow up the team attendance will rise.

Or heaven forbid, get another arm for the pen and another middle of the order bat. Fourth of July game will be a sellout and attendance should start averaging 18-22K during the week and 22-30 on the weekends depending on the team their playing.

TV ratings are thru the roof. Folks here are just coming down from the Cav's high.

Nope.. Prob the nicest thing IN Cleveland... People there are out of work.. Its a horrible town and YES.. Now that they FINALLY have a title to hang there hat on, they care little about baseball.. Its A shame. Cause Cleveland USED to be a GREAT sports town... When the ORIGINAL Browns were there... frick Art Modell................

I've said this many times. The biggest problem with the Indians is their failure to re-sign homegrown stars. Over the last 20 years, the Indians have produced Albert Belle, Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, C.C Sabathia, Victor Martinez and Cliff Lee and they failed to re-sign any of them. Who the hell wants to root for a team like that? The Indians aren't much different from the Oaklsnd A's and Tampa Bay Rays. It's just that their small market mentality has gotten a fraction of the attention that those teams have.

Peej shows his ignorance again. 24 year old park, very nice but far from the nicest thing in town. See the Rock&Roll Hall of fame, new convention center, new downtown hotels, new east bank of the flats, new public square...millennials are driving construction of apartments and condo's downtown and downtown is thriving with a vibrant nightlife scene.

The game for July 4th is sold out I believe. Attendance will pick up if they keep rolling.
