Cleveland's average attendance is 16,656 which is the worst in MLB and is down from 17,242 last year. The team is really good at 47-30. They have some really exciting players in Lindor, Uribe, Kluber,Salazar and it's the summer, the cavs season is over and Cleveland doesn't have all that much else. Is the ballpark a dump, super expensive tickets, anyone know?

The Cavs are the only team Cleveland fans care about now

Not quite a dump, but it has lost its 90's luster back when it was Jacobs Field. Seems like those Kenny Lofton, Albert Belle, and Jim Thome teams brought more folks to the park.

Because Jake Taylor's knees finally gave out and he's back in the Mexican League

I really don't get it, they have a good core that's been there a while and are contenders this year. They set attendance records in the 90s but have been bottom two or three in attendance the last few years, and they haven't been bad.

vs the White Sox recently they averaged 25-27k a game
vs the Rays recently they averaged 16k a game

Attendance will start to pick up now I believe

The Cavs, plus slow-to-trust fans, are keeping their skepticism keen. They've seen this before.

Funny you bring this topic up, I just bought tickets for July 31 today

But if they keep up you'll see a big surge in attendance. They've been on the road a bit recently when playing well, their next home stand should be big.
