Good point.
They should alter the game significantly to make it suitable for women and call it something totally different.

The problem is the game is modeled after baseball, but the parts that make baseball good must be changed because they can't play baseball. So you what you end up with is just baseball for retards.

The game wasn't designed for women though, it was designed to allow women to play the closest thing to baseball that they could. They are trying to capture the same nature and essence but without fundamental components. It's like Arena football.

It doesn't sound like you're a hardcore baseball fan. People who find baseball kind of boring should love it, it moves much faster and has a lot more offense

I've watched almost all of the WCWS and not one second of College Baseball post season. It's just more fun to me.
College baseball is unwatchable until it gets down to the final 8 or so teams.

I love baseball, my point was that saying the CWS gets worse ratings because it's boring is like saying Birdman made less money than Transformers because it's boring. Ok, fine. Transformers still sucks and I don't understand why anyone paid to see it.

Like pitching, respectable field dimensions, infield defense, stealing, etc.
Women's softball is "faster" and higher scoring because of the field design and because women suck at fielding. It has nothing to do with their skill.

The only reasons given are because it's faster paced and higher scoring. These are objectively the result of the field design and poor defense, which makes them silly reasons for enjoying it more than a game with different field dimensions and better skill.
