Van Gundy's comment got me thinking.

Is it Jordan-Pippen or Shaq-Kobe? Van Gundy's said Steph-KD but that's ridiculous at this point

Jordan and Pippen cause of what they accomplished together. In terms of pure talent it would be Kobe and Shaq

Probably not GOAT...but noteworthy:

- Bird/McHale

Jordan/Pippen or Magic/Kareem

Shaq and Kobe were usually not on the same page.

2 top 5 players in their mid 20s teaming up

Too bad one of them wears safety pins on his turtleneck

I like Steph and KD individually, but their "duo" is really four great players, so I've got to knock them for that.

I'll take Jordan and Pippen. While I think Shaq and Kobe are better than Pippen, Jordan and Pippen could basically do it all. Their defense and versatility probably gives them the edge.

Kobe-Shaq. When they were on the same page, they crushed the league.

Jordan-Pippen bc of 6 championships and their collective accomplishments: Dream Team, NBA 50, All-Defense teams, etc.

Give me Kobe/Shaq all day and twice on Sunday.

They may have hated each other off the court but my goodness they went together like peanut butter and jelly.

3 rings in 6 years together as starters. Very impressive, but 6 in 10 seasons together with Jordan and Pippen is slightly more impressive.

Not really. Those Bulls teams, despite revisionist history, were LOADED. Especially the second three-peat. I've posted that squads credentials before. It's ridiculous.

I always felt like Horace Grant was a great player who never really got his due.
