Alot wrong here.

They're both great scorers

True, but Curry is more efficient.

quote:

average defenders at best (Kyrie nod)

Curry is a much better defender than Kyrie. Regardless of how many times announcers bring up when teams try to switch on him.

quote:

pretty good facilitators (Curry nod)

Kyrie is an awful facilitator.

No that's not why at all. Its Bc his defensive impact is overrated. A top offensive players team will never ever be worse when he is off the floor than on it. Ever. But a supposed top defensive players team can be as we saw this year. It shows how much more valuable elite offense is than elite defense. And why Leonard is overrated as whole Bc of the 'two way player' label.

Curry

Kyrie is a completely different point guard though

Curry.

You can call him a one trick pony but when your trick has that pervasive of a positive effect on your team, then that has to be taken into account as well.

Curry better ft, deep, passing

You can make cases for kyrie defending most places on court and vs bigger guys.

Kyrie brilliant at the rim. Curry no slouch.

I pick curry for my team.

Why on earth would you have James over Kawhi?

And if I'm starting a team, I'm taking James over Curry without a second thought. Harden's game would fit magically into pretty much any scenario.

Ball handling - kyrie but steph is no slouch here. though I find curry to be much more lackadaisical in certain spots, leading to careless turnovers

defender - curry

shooter - curry

aggressor - draw?

rebounder - curry

finisher at the rim - kyrie is the best in the league here, no doubt...but again, curry is no slouch

facilitator - curry by far

in these finals alone, curry nearly avg'd a triple double while finishing ahead of tristan thompson in rebounding I believe.

How the shite do we know how good Curry is at facilitating and running a team?

For Christ's sake your grandmother could get 6 assists per night as a PG on that team.

Curry. Not even a debate unless you're only talking about finishing ability around the rim.

Yeah the only advantage Kyrie has over Steph is finishing around the rim, but Steph is also very good at that. The comparison really isn't close and it won't be until Kyrie rounds his game out.

Kyrie does some things better than curry, and if they were playing one on one, could very well beat him.

However, kyrie is a score first (and second, third, etc) point guard, whereas steph is much better at getting his teammates involved. Kyrie is a 6'2 Kobe Bryant.

Steph is clearly the better overall player. To be honest, I think kyrie is a bad fit with Lebron.

Or gets to play with GS.

Kyrie is a 29 point 9 assist guy with GS. Maybe even better. He'd fricking shred defenses.

or he might still be an iso player who's so good at finishing that it isn't so instinctive to him to drive and kick/facilitate.

as an iso 1v1 player, I'm not sure there's a better guy in the league.

Uh, no. Kyrie is quite literally the opposite fit of what makes GS good. Their offense wouldn't be nearly what it is if you made that trade. Curry's counting numbers would be even more ridiculous if he had anywhere near the ISO opportunities Kyrie gets.

Nah, GS doesn't emphasize what Kyrie does well. I have a hard time believing they'd clear out and let him iso consistently like he gets to in Cleveland

Do you not watch him? His drive and kick game is amazing.

It's just not what he does for Cle. But his instincts are AMAZING.
