Shaq got his points when Hakeem was out of the game.
Hakeem averaged 45 minutes a game in that series. Dude was never out of the game
That year, Hakeem shot 52% from the field. Against Shaq, he only shot 48% in that series
Shaq on the other hand shot 58% from the field that year. Against the Dream, Hakeem schooled him so bad that Shaq only shot 60% from the field.
Houston better be glad that Hakeem did such a great job on Shaq or he would have shot 75% from the field
So to sum it up.
Shaq, who apparently was being dominated, averaged 28 points, (on 60% shooting), 13 rebounds, 6 assist, and 3 blocks in that series
Hakeem averaged 33 points, (on 48% shooting), 12 rebounds, 6 assist, and 2 blocks
So, Hakeem averaged 5 more points a game, but he did so by taking an average of 10 more shots a game than Shaq did. But Shaq had more rebounds, blocks, and assist, while shooting way better from the field than Hakeem did.
So yeah, Hakeem really dominated and schooled Shaq in that series
