The impression I get watching BU, TTech or Okie St on defense is a group of pretty good HS players. They don't look like, run like or hit like other P5 defensive people. And it's by a wide margin.

Guess you haven't watched or heard the analyst take on the Baylor front 4. Billings would be a first or second rounder if he comes out now and Oakman is expected to go in first 3 rounds. Blackshear and Palmer are both dependable. It's the DB's that suck.

what a joke, the Big 12 is just as good as the Big 10, probably even better considering the amount of bottom feeders the Big 10 has every year. Although I guess it would be nice to be like Iowa and not play the best 3 teams in the conference

The secret to not being frustrated with the rankings is to wait until after the first weekend of november games have been played.
Then after that, you will still be frustrated, but it wont be as bad and it will slowly get better over the next couple weeks.

When TCU and Baylor are cream of the crop, you are a bottom feeder. Iowa will play the best team in the conference if they're good enough. That's how a conference championship game works. I do understand your confusion on them though.

Back to the old "historically bad" teams can't ever be good thing. Iowa will get killed by the top 3 Big 10 East teams but they don't have to play any of them until the Championship game....flawed system which makes them look better than they are.

You're confused again. I like the little guys. I was a huge supporter of Boise State back in the day, and am fine with Baylor or TCU getting their shot as well. What I'm not fine with is the little guy stepping out of turn and acting like they belong, especially with the BS schedule you play. If Baylor is undefeated, obviously they go. If it comes down to them and almost any other one loss P5 conference champ, enjoy watching someone else again.

Because everything an analysts says is true? They say this about several players every game. There are only 64 spots in the 1st 2 rounds, and over the course of the year the analysts have over 150 players filling those spots.

And this happens every year. Once the BCS/Playoff rankings come out, the individual polls begin to correct themselves over the next few weeks.
