You just don't know with the human element. Their job is to get who they think are the 4 best teams into the playoff. It might not be the most deserving but losing J.T. Barret is going to make the committee think harder about bringing Ohio State into the playoff.

That is why I am confident. They aren't just looking at who is deserving and/or who is the best team. They are no doubt looking at who is the better sell and who can make the most money. Ohio State has a bigger footprint than probably both TCU and Baylor combined.

You are pathetic.....

Funny thing is Missouri would be SEC Champ and same number of losses...yet would be left out...

So you are saying that Mizzou beats Bama and wins the SEC and bama would get in and they would leave Mizzou out...
Not only are you pathetic...You are just real dumb as well...

That is also true. This whole situation is going to be a complete mess especially if 3 of the top 6 teams lose next week which isn't inconceivable at all.

FSU can lose to GT
Baylor can easily lose to K State
Mizzou isn't a for sure win against Bama
Oregon is going against a team that has already beat them
Ohio State is going to have a tough game against Wisconsin
The only team that has an easy game next week is TCU against Iowa State.

The Baylor loss was AT WVA... I am pretty sure.

Yep will be interesting. OSU probably won't win though, so it will be one less problem to worry about.

Except for the fact that they beat TCU at home by only 3 points, while losing to an inferior team, also at home.

Lost on the road to WVU.

We aret tied for nations longest home winning streak. We really are an elite team at home, not so much on the road.

I don't get why Ohio State fans are suddenly freaking out. Cardale didn't come to Ohio State to play school, remember?

I'm over it now. So anything good that happens will be a surprise for me.

It may be terrible to say, but if we are going to lose, I would rather it be this week than getting blown out in a playoff game without our Heisman candidate QB. Is that crazy?

You're right. It was in Morgantown.

I've heard multiple people say that. I'm the complete opposite. By making the playoffs, this very young team will at least gain some valuable experience which will be great come next year.

It's natural to freak out but I think Cardale had the backup job until mid-fall camp. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised with how he performs.

TCU scored 82 against Texas Tech while Baylor almost lost to them

TCU almost lost to Kansas
OSU struggled (to a lesser extent) with IU and Michigan

Baylor-Texas Tech was played in an air conditioned dome and Texas Tech was the better team by watching it. Tech moved the ball with ease and fumbled 3 times after big gains because of lazy ball security. That's about the only way Baylor could stop them.

We also played without a QB for a good chunk of our game, which really stalled our offense.

In the Big 12 I think all wins and losses are equal in weight because they all play each other. TCU and Baylor have the same record in the Big 12 so I think it should go to who has a stronger ooc schedule which is TCU right now. Then comes the issue of conference champion which would be Baylor if they get by K State next week. If TCU would go to the playoffs over Baylor even though Baylor won their conference would be a huge mess.

This is pretty much how I see it. When comparing, if Baylor beats K State again, the two teams have the following in their favor:

Baylor:
- Won the head to head
- more victories in the top 25
- Best win over #4 TCU(after factoring in MS State loss
- Conference Champion

TCU:
- Best OOC win (Minnesota who is out of the top 25)
- Best loss of the 2

Looking from a purely deserving point of view, I say it's Baylor hands down. Yes TCU played Minnesota, but Baylor will play a better Kansas St team for a second time which more than cancels out that win IMO. Semantics like improper pass interference calls should not be considered. If we were going off of penalties called or not called, Bama would have some explaining to do. Two resumes, which one is better? Baylor IMO

Didn't think of it that way. .

I like your positive attitude, but knowing that is took 2 games for JT to get up to speed, I am obviously worried.

Don't bother. They make excuses for TCU's close call and say Baylor didn't actually beat TCU because it was only by 3 points. Oh, and quality losses are more important than quality wins, which I think is preposterous.

Yeah I mean it makes sense to be worried. Another thing is JT had to get up to speed with an OL doing the same exact thing. Cardale is stepping in behind an OL that has been playing great. Has to help him out in some form.
