A. Keep it at 4 teams
B. Expand to 8
C. Expand to 6- Top 2 get a bye

I like C the best. 6 is a good number

8 is too much IMO.

Keep it at 4 and use the BCS rankings instead of a committee.

A. But I really have no problem with C.

B is stupid.

It needs to go to 8.

Clemson loses at home, late in the season to an unranked opponent and all the analysis is that it doesn't even matter. They'd still get in over Louisville based on head to head.

Absurd.

Expand to 12

Every FBS Conference winner, top Independent, and a Wild Card

9-12 play and the WC is automatically seeded 12, keeps the Bowl Structure going also.

But of your choices, keep it at 4.

I'm fine with 4 or 6 teams. 8 is too much.

You could even do 5 teams with a play in game between #4 and 5.

8 is too big. It lessens the importance of the regular season. I like 6.

We're probably stuck with 4 for at least 10 years and I'm ok with that.

I prefer 8 over 6 because I don't like byes but the fact that all the P5s would get representation may outweigh that.

Byes have no place in college where most of the teams don't play each other. It makes sense in the NFL because you play nearly half of the teams in the league every season. The best teams will win in the playoffs regardless, and most years I doubt the 1 and 2 seeds lose to the 7 and 8 seeds anyway.

I like expand to 6, but not in the current environment. I would like to see us move to 6 12 team conferences, all 6 conference champions make the playoff.

I would rebuild the Big East and Big 12 to get up to 6 total conferences, the rest of the teams and conferences would be moved back down.

Big East:
Syracuse
UConn
Boston College
Rutgers
Penn State
Temple
Pitt
West Virginia
Louisville
Army
Cincinatti
Memphis

ACC:
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Maryland
Duke
North Carolina
NC State
Clemson
Navy
Miami
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Wake Forest

Big 10:
Notre Dame
Indiana
Purdue
Ohio State
Michigan
Mich St
Iowa
Iowa St
Minnesota
Wisonsin
Illinois
Northwestern

Big 12:
Nebraska
Mizzou
Kansas
Kansas St
Colorado
Air Force
Texas
A&M
Tech
Baylor
Oklahoma
Ok St

SEC:
Arkansas
LSU
Ole Miss
Miss State
Alabama
Auburn
Vandy
Tennessee
Kentucky
Georgia
Florida
S. Car

PAC 12:
Utah
BYU
Zona
Ariz St
USC
UCLA
Cal
Stanford
Oregon St
Oregon
Washington
Wazzou

I think this is a fair system where each team plays 8 conference games with 1 cross division rival, an optional OOC rivalry game (military academies get 2), and and 3 OOC games.

This would eliminate shitty rent-a-win games in major college football forever, create a balenced and fair playoff system, and still ensure that the regular season matters.

If you go to 6 you will have the argument over who gets the bye and not having to play a week at that time of year is a big deal. Who would get the bye this year? Alabama probably but which 1 loss team would get it? What if Bama loses and all 6 teams have one loss? It the teams are increased it has to be 8

It's absolutely absurd how two losses can basically end your season especially in a sport where injuries can happy so easily.

Keep it at 4 teams for now, especially if those teams are selected by an all-powerful committee.

I don't want someone putting in their 2- or 3-loss ND team into an 8 team playoff over a more deserving mid major or 1-loss SEC/Big 10 team. You know that would eventually happen.
