In no particular order.

Chiefs, Seahawks, Saints, Packers, Broncos.

No brainer top 5, order is certainly up for debate.

Chicago is underrated. Bears rarely lose at home in playoffs. Kansas City vastly overrated. When's the last time the Chiefs won a home playoff game? They've lost at least their last 2 - probably more going back to Montana days.

This discussion is not limited to home field advantage during the playoffs...

Should've been a loss last season to Green Bay though. They were given a win, literally.

I'd go with

Seattle
New Orleans
Denver

as the best home field advantages. KC is definitely up there as well.

why is seattle just "right now" If there is a good team in seattle, they are really hard to beat there...and have been for awhile.

after that (in no order)

KC
NOLA
Denver
Oakland
SanFran
DC

Yes it is. Wanna tell me why it isn't? There's not a team in the league that wants to play in New Orleans for a prime time game, because they are likely to get their arse handed to them.

I don't think the Saints want to see a fully healthy Broncos team anywhere, much less a dome.

16-0 really. The broncos are going to lose multiple games and probably to much inferior teams. I actually think it would be the most exciting matchup in the NFL...they wouldn't be looking forward to it either.

I'd take the Saints in the dome, honestly. Neutral field or at Denver, I'd take Denver. I think Denver is the best team in the NFL though.

The Saints are a different beast for prime time games in the dome.

-During the 2011 & 2012 seasons the Seahawks lost 25% of their home regular season games.

-Come Monday it will have been over 1,000 days since Sean Payton has lost in the Superdome

Seattle is 1 of the 5 best teams in the NFL, but yeah It is hard not to laugh at how out of hand the hype has become

you can still have the best homfield advantage and win half of your games there. Sometimes you draw a tough team/matchup at a tough time and shite happens.

Why is it so blatantly obvious that the Seahawks are 'virtually unbeatable' at home?

Well, let's see...

They haven't lost a game at home since week 16 of the 2011 season against the San Francisco 49ers, and since then, they have proceeded to beat opposing team's asses there.

Do you have a list to contribute?

Seahawks are the only ones who have shown statistically that it makes a big difference. Look at their H vs. Away record.

Other than that...Pros homefield isn't huge - the biggest factor is West Coast teams having to play early start times on the East Coast.

That was big last year for Seattle in Atlanta in the playoffs.

There was some article a few months ago about how big this factor is during the season.

Denver is definitely in the top 3. I'd say Seattle, Denver, and New Orleans.
