USC Mike Williams dude was just a beast....in college

Having watched the 49ers bust on JJ Stokes about ten years prior, I figured Mike Williams would have the same problems. Not nearly enough speed to separate from defenders to get open.

I'm not talking about 40 yard dash speed. Tall, non-blazing guys like Colston and Irvin worked out. But not enough football speed and quickness.

Mike Williams was JJ Stokes Part Deux.

Curry when Seattle drafted him, thought he would be a damn good LB.

Charles Rogers. He was such a beast in college. Unfortunately, injuries and drugs did him in.

I'm not surprised he's gotten in trouble with the law, but I thought Rolando McClain would be a great LB.

Well he was far better than ol' JJ but yeah...

There's a reason Mike was always making acrobatic one-handed catches...and in hindsight - it should have been obvious - he couldn't separate from defenders unless he ran a perfect route or was going against a soft zone.

But damn, the dude started from basically day 1 as true freshman and was Freshman All-American, Pac-10 Freshman of the year and as a sophomore, 1st team National All-American.

Then he left USC and sued to get in the NFL.

Maybe another year or two in college and he gets exposed a little, who knows?

Mel Kiper had him rated as the #1 player on his draft board.

Wut? He had a great professional career.

Eta - nevermind. I realize you dont know what you are talking about and just trying to troll. Im sure you were not alive to ever see Cannon play, much less predict his career.

shite sullivan had bust written all over his big, fatass

Lavar Arrington is another that you can't really call a bust, but wasn't nearly as dominant as I thought he'd be. Certainly faired better than courtney brown

Glen Dorsey. I thought he was a definite future all pro when he was coming out. He's one of the few players who I didn't have any doubts about. Oops.

Vince Young. He was such a man amongst boys in college. Alas, you can't just "turn someone loose" on NFL defenses.
