he is number 1 for me at this point. where were brady, rodgers and brees last night? yep. on the couch. Flacco is numero uno

So according to this genius:

Flacco and Kaepernick are No. 1 & 2 in the league among QBs

Torrey Smith and Michael Crabtree are the best WRs in the league

Bernard Pierce > Adrian Peterson

7 for me. Brees, Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Eli, Ben, Flacco. In that order.

Lets revisit this next year when flacco is having another mediocre season while struggling to make the playoffs again

Where do you come up with this? Flacco has not only made the playoffs every year of his career, he's won a playoff game every year of his career.

saints fans will never give another qb credit. the facts are Flacco is a better QB right now than Brees. Flacco just won MVP of a super bowl. finished the post season 11td 0 INT...made clutch plays and lead his team.

Brees threw like 28 INT this year and his team was riding couch while flacco was throwing bombs...

Ask any GM in football right now and they would all to a man take Flacco over Brees

With two Super Bowls, I don't know if Big Ben is in an elite category.

He was awful in their first SB win.

Would lump him with Cutler/Rivers/Stafford probably

This list is wrong for so many reasons. Matt Ryan above Eli and Ben? Flacco is sooooo much better than Jay Cutler, it's not even funny. Wilson, Cam, and/or Luck may turn out to be as good or better than Flacco in the future, but they're certainly not better now. And Luck is closer than Wilson or Cam. Flacco has a five-year record of success.

I'd still have him below

Wilson, RG3,

How can people that watch sports be this wrapped up in the moment? I'm sure last year you would've had Newton and Dalton in your top ten. Flacco is no better of a QB than he was before the game last night. There are 4 elite qb's in the NFL. Manning, Rodgers, Brady, and Brees. That list doesn't change for me based on one season or one game.

I would say 5. ELI has to be top 5 just cause of his CLUTCH in the playoffs. He has a better record in the Playoffs than his brother. He has got to be there.

At worst, 5th. Manning is old and his arm isn't that strong anymore. Still a great decision maker and runs the whole offense himself. Brady can't really handle pressure or deep passing but he has good weapons around him and can dink and dunk pretty damn well. Brees is a volumed stat accumulator. It's amazing how one Super Bowl win will make people overrate a guy. Rodgers is easily the best guy in the NFL.

Those are the only 4 guys with a case to be better than Flacco RIGHT NOW. He is in the top 2-3 in arm stength, he's rather mobile (Aaron Rodgers level mobility, not RG3 level obviously)), and he has no fear of the big moment. In fact, he plays better in the pressure moments - third down, 4th quarter, playoffs, and on the road.

If there has been another quarterback who started 4 games in one playoffs that had 10+ touchdowns, no interceptions, averaged over 280 yards, and had a qb rating over 100 in each of those games, I'd like to know who.

SERIOIUS?????? If he were the QB of the Ravens. They would have 4 SB titles by now. EVERYONE is gassing on Breees cause of THIS year without Payton. I assure you IF Payton was on the sidline this year that the Saints NOT ONLY would have won at least 10 games they MAY have been were the 49rs were last night.

There are three QB's I'd take over him, no questions asked: Rogers, Brees, and Brady. If contract matters, I'd rather have Kapernick, RG3, Luck, or Wilson. All are cheap, mainly because they are on their first contract. Then again, they've only had one year of success.

He's right in that group of Eli, Ben, Romo, Ryan, and Schaub (I'd put Peyton in this group, but I wouldn't want him on my team on a bet -- the guy is a career ending injury timebomb). Of that group of six behind my top 3, I'd probably take Flacco only beind Eli, but maybe Ryan. Of the rookies, I'd take him over any of them due to a track record of success.

So...

Rogers/Brees/Brady
Eli
Ryan
Flacco

So, probably sixth. But I hate putting a guy at one rank. He's between 5th and 8th.

Regardless of Peyton's injury risk, he has to be in the top four. There is absolutely no question.

Flacco should be no higher than nine IMO. I would not opposed to someone putting him there though. I could realistically put him between 9-15.

Sure there is. All-time, Peyton is clearly the best QB. But right now? A guy who has to worry about playing in cold weather because he lacks the ability to feel the football? That's like saying Ray Lewis is the best MLB in football because of what he did in 2001.

Peyton now is not the Peyton who is going to the Hall. I think his comeback is amazing, but he's got no mobility and subpar arm at this point.
