They've made the postseason once in 7 seasons. You can live off a 15 year old world series title for only so long.

Possible. But I think they have a chance to surprise people

And they got swept in that one appearance.

I would say in the AL West ranking job security from on the hot seat to safe

Oakland Melvin
Seattle Servais
Houston Hinch
Texas Bannister
LA Scioscia

Unless their attendance really dips and they totally bomb this year I do not see it happening

Those seven years only two out of the seven were the Angels not in a playoff race into September
With one year being knocked out early in September
Three years competing to the last week
One of the years actually making the playoffs

I think he is closer to being fired than any other manager in the division. Sure, his teams have battled injuries lately, but that is apart of the game. The number one complaint from Angel fans are that he keeps doing the same thing and won't adapt. He has been with the team for 17 years now, I would not be surprised to see him fired if the team struggles this year just for a change of style. Doesn't mean he is a bad manager but rather just LAAA wanting to try something new.

the angels are in deep doo doo for a good time

And they are still on the hook for another 5(this year+4) of Pujols, at 26 this year, and going up a mil every year.

26mil 2017
27mil 2018
28mil 2019
29mil 2020
30mil 2021 yikes!!!!

Same thing y'all said the last two years. Why should this year be any different?

Why dont the angels just trade trout already, someone like the yankees or red sox will give them an incredible haul to rebuild with.

That is probably the way to go because the Angels farm system is doo-doo.

Mike Trout is the best player in baseball and conceivably will remain so for the next 10 years. I cannot imagine any trade that would justify moving him. Just try to build around him. I do think Scoscia's seat is a little warm and he could be fired if the Angels don't make the playoffs this year.

I really hope Mike Trout is traded at some point. He deserves so much more than what LA is doing

He's great but 1 great hitter doesn't win you a title, you can pitch around him since nobody in that lineup is worth a shite. They have no starters and their closer last year Huston street was garbage. You're telling me if the Astros were to offer george springer and their top 3-4 prospects the angels wouldn't be better off? What if the Yankees offer betances + their top 3-4 prospects? I'm talking 3-4 major league quality guys plus a very good major leaguer and the angels wouldn't do it?
